I believe at 16:34 a different song starts that we also don't have. They seem to be in different keys (first in F major, second in Bb major) but that could just mean that its a different section of the same song, so it doesn't completely rule out them being the same. Luckily for our search, I think the first song starts with that clarinet descending motif, so we should only have to listen to the first second or so of anything to determine if it's correct.

Been searching this morning. I went through the full discography of the Original Alpenoberkrainer on Spotify and have looked at the available albums for the group between 1980 and 1987 on this account. No luck so far.

It is indeed the same song, I'm almost positive. They just switched the key.

I'm pretty sure it's a different section of the same song. I can pretty much hum the entire thing but god forbid I ever get to hear it outside the park. If I had the instruments and talent I'd just record my own version and be done with it lol.

Also Youtube seems to have way more of their discography than Spotify, so I've mostly been looking there. Still a pretty tough task given that all I have to go off of is that it's an oberkrainer song, in waltz-time, from sometime before the 2000s (earliest I can remember hearing it at the park is when I was around 7 or 8).

EDIT: I just had an idea. I know the park's customer service is useless these days but maybe if we reach out to the guy that runs that Youtube channel he'd be able to help. I mean, they clearly know their oberkrainer music.

Sorry for the double post but I found clearer audio in the first half of this Mach Tower video! Although now I'm starting to wonder if it really is the same song or if it's a different song entirely. I might be mixing two songs together in my mind but I'm not 100% sure... I need answers!

I’m at a play right now, but I’ll look into it when I get a chance!

Still nothing with Shazam. It's quite unlikely but possible that the song was made in-house by Seaworld, but I doubt it.

What are the chances that Banbury Cross and San Marco gets their classical music back full time for the 50th?
This would be such a welcome surprise for the 50th. I’m a huge in-park music nerd — I think sound is one of the most important elements of establishing a specific setting and tone for an area, and it’s a super inexpensive tool for a park to enhance its immersion when done right by people who care. They literally just have to flip a switch (or maybe click a file or two) and the park instantly becomes more beautiful, classic, and immersive with these soundtracks back in place.

I still can’t fathom how anyone at the park thinks the current San Marco soundtrack is enjoyable. I know, I know, everyone has different tastes, but come on… who wants to listen to the sounds of an Italian opera singer booming while they’re strolling through Da Vinci’s Garden?

While they’re at it, I’d love for them to switch the entry area music back to the 2013 soundtrack. The current jazz music just doesn’t do it for me. It’s an improvement over the crooner soundtrack (Dean Martin, Sinatra, etc.) they played a few years ago, but it doesn’t stir any of the same emotions that the curious, adventurous tone of the 2013 soundtrack inspired. The entry area should be all about stirring your emotions for the adventure to come inside the park. A few examples of the 2013 music:
