I have NEVER seen the park this crowded!

Lines for Zombie High, (using the Wind-Seeker queue and another smaller temp queue at the front entrance), stretched almost toward the vine tunnel.

Slaughter House line took up its temp queue, back out in front of the arcade building where it looped around a landscape island near the Ferris wheel.

No Vacancy's line was out around the Eiffel Tower area.

It was a mad house! When I left at 10:15 pm, the parking lot was full, all the way to Route 30! I am pretty sure the park was at capacity last night.

My last time to visit the park for 2014 will be sometime next weekend. Depending on the weather, I think my best shot for the Haunt is next Friday night. I just can't see myself dealing with another Saturday crowd!

The park was packed, but they were doing a fantastic job at crowd control. There was some stacking in the mazes, however, but that was preferential to spending the whole night waiting in line.

I got in line for No Vacancy when the line was on the Old Virginia bridge, and it only took ten minutes.

Zombie High's queue stretched to Xtreme Skyflyer's viewing area, and that only took ten to fifteen minutes.

Cornstalkers stretched up to Panda Express, and even that was only about ten to fifteen minutes worth of waiting. I will say, with the high rate with which they were letting people into the maze, there was a small bit of stacking which detracted from the "lost in a corn maze" experience.

The longest wait of the night was for Maze of Madness, which when I got in line had wrapped around its queue, the extended queue in WaterWorks, the Waveswinger queue, and stretched from the Singing Mushrooms to the Drop Tower side of Victoria's and back. The amount of people there was insane! It took around forty-five minutes to get through (which wasn't terrible, considering how many people were in line), but there was some serious stacking in the maze. Just as I was about to enter the facade, the line had stretched through Feary Tales and into the Peanuts Showplace. Luckily, they opened up the ride area for Waveswinger, and allowed people to wrap around that area too, which lessened the crowds on the paths.

The Kings Dominion Theatre also filled up completely at the 9:00 showing. It was nice seeing Eternal Jamnation perform with a full house.

The worst part of the night was the line jumpers. Since the lines stretched so far out on the paths and twisted and turned all over the place, some people just didn't seem to realize where the line started and hopped right in halfway through the line, unknowingly cutting hundreds of people. Then, of course, there are the a-holes, the bane of my theme park existence, who think it's okay to just sneak in front of someone or hop in with some friends and just skip a good twenty minutes of waiting. Grrr...

I would not be surprised if the park hit capacity. International Street was so crowded that I had trouble getting through to leave. Every shop and restaurant had a massive line stretching out (the park must make an absolute fortune on food sales during Haunt). I actually had to crawl across the side curbs of the planters along International Street just to make it through.

It was weird, I didn't have that much waiting to do, but the park was absolutely mobbed. I've never seen the park so crowded before. I guess you could say that was a pretty good night for KD!

Mornings on Saturdays are just like any other morning, meaning you should have no trouble with lines for the first two hours or so. Yesterday afternoon, most of the rides had moderate lines, about what you would expect on a normal Saturday in the summer. For instance, at around 2 yesterday, Dominator's line started on the steps, Rebel Yell's started on the ramp about thirty feet from the station, and Boo Blasters' line was next to the cemetery, just to name a few. Nothing fantastic, but nothing unbearable either. I would say the majority of the Haunt crowd doesn't start pulling in until 4 or so.

I went to the park Friday night (7-midnight) and Saturday morning (10-1) for my final trip of the season. We left at 1 knowing the park was going to be near capacity on Saturday.
Overall thoughts on Haunt 2014:
-Love the return of Maze of Madness, it was actually everyone's favorite maze of the night
-Cleaver Brothers Carnival was loaded with scare-actors, best zone of the night
-Longest maze wait was 10 mins, and that was for Club Blood
-Weren't any bad mazes for the first time ever, even Bloodbath had a few scares
-I really miss having a maze in WWC. Please bring one back, that area of the park seems so sad w/o one
-Five seasons down, and Intimidator 305 is still glass smooth <3 Reached 110 rides this season

From best to worst of the night I'd rank:
Mazes-
1) Maze of Madness (love to see how they improve it next year)
2) Zombie High (much better than last year)
3) SlaughterHouse
4) CornStalkers
5) Club Blood
6) Doll Factory
7) No Vacancy (weaker this year, but still good)
8) Outbreak
9) Blue Ridge Bloodbath
Zones-
1) Cleaver Brothers Carnival
2) The Lair (big surprise)
3) Feary Tales
4) IronWorX (love the new details)
5) Necropolis
6) The Ruins (very small this season)

I went to Halloween haunt for the first time, and I was blown away. Here is my review of the mazes and terrortories.

Mazes

1.Zombie High - rating 15/10
This was the first maze I ever went in that made me cower in a corner.everything about this maze worked. From costumes to props...everyone was perfect!

2.No Vacancy - Rating 9/10
While not the scariest,it certainly is my favorite looking maze. It felt so real and inclusive in its environment.the scarers had quite a few good scares and did a great job of being original and in the right mix of scary and funny.

3.Doll Factory - 8.5/10
Some great scares, and fantastic costumes. More creepy and unsettling than scary but still super fun. I was really glad I went in this maze last as it provided a perfect ending after the last maze...

4. Maze of Madness - rating 7/10 a great fun maze that made me jump quite a bit,but not scary.although the actors were in their element and sold it in over the top crazy characters.

5. Club Blood - rating 6/10
Reminded be of Busch gardens bitten but modern day and sexy. The actors seemed to have fun and my friend jumped more than me,but thats not saying much.

6. Slaughterhouse - 5/10
This maze could of been amazing but what it lacked was victims running and crying for help. Still some great scares.

7.Cornstalkers - rating 3.5/10
All the scarers were in plain site, and kinda boring...except for the fact the maze has some BEAUTIFUL made set pieces!the windmill was my favorite. My friend really jumped once as last minute a guy scared her with the funniest scare all night "potatoes!"

8.Blue Ridge Bloodbath - rating 3/10
Kinda boring, neat concept...i guess it would be more fun if the guests in front of me weren't constantly braking making me have to keep watching them and not the actors...
9.Outbreak - rating 2/10
This was the most disappointing an left me scared that the next maze we did would be this bad.the scarers weren't really trying, and the posthetics were laughable. It was OK in design, but all around disappointing.

That being said, compared to Busch gardens even the worst mazes at KD were better than most howloscream mazes in at least design and majority costumes.

Scare zones
1.) Ironworks- rating 10/10 I feel bad listing this as the best but the costumes and set pieces are so amazing I had too. While not the scariest,is definitely the neatest.

2. Clowns(sorry I forgot what the name is) - rating 9/10
Definitely the scariest ,but me not fearing clowns it was just fun watching my friend who is terrified of clowns being chased.

3. Primevil- rating 8/10
Great costumes and props. The scares were neat and appropriate(weird clicks and noises much like you see in movies as signals).

4.Necropolis - rating 7/10
Very cool looking and lots of creepy actors running around.

5. The lair - rating 6/10
While pretty Barren,it still had some good scares and the scarers were fun to watch.

Im in love with our new props here in IronworX. Fun Fact with the oil rig prop:
the "authorized personal only" sign on the gate door is from the Hurler (green splat from Waynes World present)
and the.. Im not sure what to call it... tank thing (?) was something used in Lion Country Safari.

I just want to point out how much I love the costumes at Haunt. (Thanks Luke for the pic)

EDIT - Added photo of Living Statue - Credit KDFanSite Facebook page (no individual photo credit was given there)

The park did add new stuff to International Street over the last couple weeks. Anyone see the living statues? The park added 2 statues on short pedestals on the east and west side of the street, halfway down, and an empty pedestal for the living statue. The couple times I walked by, the 3rd pedestal was empty. I swore I saw a photo somewhere with the live actor standing on it.

Also, the guys in the gilly suits were scaring the heck out of folks walking by them on Intl Street as well. I think it is nice the park is putting more Haunt stuff there. It used to be pretty empty in that area after the Overlord's Resurrection was done.

Just thought I would share this... The song that plays beside Doll Factory is, "Twisted Circus" by The Scare Factory.

She was really kind of nice... In a non-speaking kind of way. Some people asked her for directions, and she stopped what she was doing and gave them directions, without speaking. She did however have the most pained look on her face. I began to comment on it when she crept up behind me. PK and Luke gave the "over your shoulder look". I turned to her, and said, "sorry people are stupid and pester you with directions." She shrugged and sort of laughed with her eyes. (if that makes sense)

She then posed for photos.
