Nicole, I'm pretty sure PK said there's no singing in the shows, and that's basically all Hit List is: a (bad) singing show. Whatever goes on the houses are probably NOTHING like that. More like actors acting out a scary situation or something.

Oh, and KD's shows aren't that bad, bar Hit List and Karaoke Superstars. :p

I guess I am not being clear enough.

1. I loathe dialogue in any theme park show, regardless of the quality of the overall performance.

2. The sample of KD's theatrical offerings that I have endured, while trying to eat near the fountains, leads me to believe that never ever want to see a KD show ever.

3. As an addendum, the only things worse than theme park show dialogue are wacky hijinks and audience participation.

And before anyone tries, being told by people, who like shows that I know make me cringe, that I will like "X" is simply not convincing.

The Crowd participation in TIO is 100% legit, you did not just walk into Bavarian beer hall to sit down and do nothing. If you don't like it, stay away, the show wasn't meant for you.

Correct. That is why I only go into Das Festhaus under duress.

And I agree. This thread is for KD' Haunt.

The pictures look great. I love the statues in Necropolis and IronWorx is looking good. Love to see Cornstalkers coming along. Even though I had kind of crap luck the last couple years by being stuck in the middle of a large group, Cornstalkers is one of my favorite mazes. I love how much the actors blend in with the corn and I like that it actually is a bit of a maze with some turns leading to dead ends. It's also a pretty decent length from what I remember, which is typically the one complaint (albeit minor) I have about KD mazes.

Side note, I found this on the Haunt website as well. It is in the "New Scares" section, is called Fright Night, and is located on the Bandstand. It is apparently a new show.

"Get ready to scream with fear as our gruesome zombies descend amongst the living to terrorize. They have many evil deeds to complete before they return to the grave. Beware of the strange things happening here on this Fright Night!"

To be honest, that sounds to me more like zombies will be roaming the Bandstand than a show. Anyone have any more information on this? I would love the idea of zombies on the Bandstand. I know a lot of people think zombies have been played out, but I'm a sucker for them, what can I say?

Fright Night sounds interesting, but since it is going on the Bandstand I guess Overlord's Resurrection will stay at the front of the park? Perhaps they are completely redesigning the stage to accommodate the floral planter, hence the relocation of the giant skull. Hmm...

There's still a lot they haven't told us about the dining event. There's still things to be said like price, full operating times, and other details. Also, I hope they get a real name for the event. "VIP Dining Experience" is literally the least creative name they could have had.

Well, the park has had the roaming zombies for the last couple seasons. They have roamed/performed on International Street and Old VA. I don't remember if they venture into Candy Apple Grove. I am pretty sure they don't go into the Safari section of the park.

I have seen them do their dance number(s) at the front entrance plaza; in front of the Eiffel Tower; and in front of the Kings Dominion theater. It might be possible that they could take over the International Street Bandstand for this season.

I'm going to have to do more research on the dining thing.  It sounds like it's not open on Fridays, which is a disappointment.

I thought Chef Paul stated in the interview that the Halloween Dinners would be done before the main Haunt started at 7:00 pm. Since the front park gates don't open until 15 minutes before 7pm on Fridays, I assume the possibility for Friday evening dinners was nixed.
