I'm sorry am I confused? Or is @GrandpaD being gone at for simply relaying a tweet?
The only thing Universal did was not properly prepare. Yes, they had team members placed and queues mapped out. And just certainly they got the crowds they anticipated. But, whatever reason, they didn't run the virtual queue system they had planned. After the reported smoothness of Disney's Galaxy's Edge opening, it appears Universal simply dropped the ball.Theme Park University claims that Universal purposely made the line longer for publicity. If so, that's not cool.

Sunchild laughs in makoA friend of mine rode it twice tonight in about 1:10 minutes. Got in the single rider line each time. The first time it was only 10 minutes. The 2nd time an hour. He loved it. Said it’s the best coaster in the area by a long shot
I really can't fault Intamin as the single reason of issues. This is far more than just a roller coaster. The tie ins to the show areas, special effects, etc has to be Universal or whatever company they contracted. I haven't read of any failures in regards to the actual coaster (switch tracks, launchers, etc.). In regards to running half the trains, isn't that a Universal ops issue?
