Some really great concept art has been leaked and apparently the proposed name of the coaster at https://orlandoparkstop.com/news/th...for-hagrids-magical-creatures-roller-coaster/

The concept art looks amazing. The author claims that this attraction will contain no video projection and rely solely on physical set peices and animatronics. Based on what I've seen in that article I have to agree with the authors assessment that this very well could be the greatest looking attraction Universal has ever created.

Finally got some pics from Bioreconstruct on Twitter, as you can see train is still covered and on different locations of track. Plus an overhead view from Channel 9 here in Orlando. Rumor is possible something on the coaster may be made on March 11th in NYC as a Media Event invitations have been sent and some media have Tweeted their invite. Hopefully, something soon for Hagrid's Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure will be announced soon or at least Uni makes some blog spot about an event.

Uni through an announcement confirmed today:
The trains are 1/2 motorbike seating 1/2 “sidecar” traditional seating.

I was reading on Inside Universal Forums that this is actually a misconception and it will feature regular seating with the addition of thematic elements adorning the cars rather than a motor-bike style train.

EDIT: For a visual reference, the trains may be similar to Wavebreaker at SWSA another Intamin coaster. The trains are themed to jet skis however, riders are in a seated position and can lean forward slightly to grab onto the bars of the jetski.

Here is some pics from both Bioreconstruct and Inside Universal both on Twitter and the IU Forum.
This is the I believe the entry way to the newly named HMCMBA (Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure). If you look close you can a sculpture of what appears to be 2 unicorns, and I can see the face sculpture but can't tell what it is yet. I've heard Merlin's Beard, and also that on a lot of the ancient type ruins back in time had similar or a likeness of this face. IF anyone can tell or see what they think it is, would love to hear your responses. I even heard it goes back to certain Celtic type sculptures. The last tower crane is being dismantled and almost gone, guess it will be moving over to the JP/JW area for the new coaster. I am so looking forward to this new family coaster. Anyone else making plans to join the new magical adventure. Hope to see some familiar and new BGWFans and BGW family., from when I worked at BGW So if you do make the trip maybe can meet up for a Motorbike adventure. Fluffy will be waiting and can't wait to escape the Devils Snare. Until then the 6/13/19 opening date countdown has begun.

Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, these pics are awesome from IU and channel 9 news.
In the first pic you can see the rockwork for the cave & if you look close under the brown tarp is Ford Angelina which will have rumbling noise blinking headlights and of course the car horn. Now at first thought Ford Angelina was at beginning, but it is here but could it be in 2 different areas or to cut cost, but looks amazing.
Second pic is the cave area before the spike and in here you will see Fluffy who is in there now. This is rumored and spec that this is gonna be an AA and one of the really good AAs Uni is doing, and hearing it is compared to the Kong AA in the Kong attraction.
Universal is going all out on this family coaster with all the design, theming and can't wait to be able to "hopefully" soon have some more info and pics of some of the scene areas, and the que area is gonna be amazing, only place where screenz will be used like the portraits.

Anyone else getting hyped for HMCMBA? Which everyone will probably just call it the Potter coaster or Hagrids motorbike coaster.

Too funny & true Fast & Furious DOOPERcharged is yuck, but there is rumor they are gonna do some redos, they missed out by not making it into something like Test Track or a really good themed inside coaster.New rumor and speculation that the que will have some AA's also rumor of it being the great hall and the kitchen part with house elves in it.
So until Uni releases something we don't know, but no screenz except some portraits, also can't wait til all the trees are in and grow in, its gonna be an awesome ride flying past the trees and imagine how fun the ride will be at night.
You are probably right @Unagi WWoHP, Diagon Alley, and this coaster and merch and just gonna print money and make some serious bank for Uni.
I am still wondering where the Cornish Pixies will be, and hope they work in a way, like some zip line the things can zip and zap thru. Also, I am hoping inside the Devils Snare we can hear Hermione say her spell and the blue flame shows up, like the Verbolten drop area. But just to think June 13th is only about 110 days away.

I’m thinking this ride will beat the ridiculous wait time Escape from Gringotts had on its opening day.

Before I begin, let me clarify that I am a complete Potterhead and adore both Harry Potter sections at Uni. That said...

What isn't clear to me is why none of the Potter rides are based on actual events in the books or movies. Gringotts, in particular, had a ready-made storyline and did not need to rely on any new content. (The scene where they go back to steal the Horcrux from Belatrix's vault was essentially a coaster ride already.)

Perhaps it is just me, but I am not interested in randomly strung-together scenes and characters with little to no basis in the actual canon. In some cases, the people don't even behave normally.

I suppose if there were only one Potter dark ride, then unabashed fan service would be defensible. In that way Forbidden Journey probably gets a pass. The queue and ride are so amazing, it deserves a pass regardless. But once they knew they were adding Gringotts and the Hogwatrs Express in two directions, the choice to create incoherent "plotlines" became (for me) completely inexcusable.

It is apparent that Hagrid's Motorbike Journey Through Every Location and Character We Haven't Exploited Yet will be yet another series of random sparkly objects with no relation to any of the seven (plus) volumes of source text. Also, why does Hagrid get a second ride?

Sorry. This has been bothering me since they opened Diagon Alley, and this new coaster seems to have made it worse.

I think it's a matter of "ride the movies" vs "experience the universe the movie is based in" and honestly the feeling I got from most Islands rides was you were supposed to feel like you were in that specific universe. Versus Universal where the rides basically is the movie. Though, Universal hasn't gotten away from that.

Honestly, at this point I'd rather have a ride that's based in a specific universe rather than just a retelling of the movie. I can always watch the movie at home, I can't experience that specific universe at home. (books come close, but you're still limited to what the book says.) But, that could very well just be me.

I'll always be a bigger fan of parks putting forth effort to create their own story, regardless son if it is based in an IP or not. I personally have no desire to ride something that has the same story as the movie.

As long as the story created by the park doesn't compromise the integrity of the characters or violate any clear cannon "rules" per say (like how hyperspace was completely different in Last Jedi compared to every other Star Wars movie) I'm fine.

Perhaps. But none of them tell an original story either. They are all just disjointed snippets of popular characters doing random things.

And given how much effort they put into recreating Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, it makes even less sense to me.

I know JK Rowling has to approve everything. Perhaps she wants a less involved story for the rides?

Edit: Also, a lot of park's rides have a similar narrative where there's a valid reason why a bunch of guests would be in the situation. In JP, you're on a standard tour. The Mummy has guests on a studio tour and Men in Black has you in try outs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't guests still muggles in the two HP areas?

I'm sort of with @Nicole on this one. The lands are incredible, but the rides have a sort of incomprehensible mish-mash of stories that are basically just highlight reels.

I'm going to diverge slightly here, but this is why I love The Lost Continent in IoA. It's the only place that feels interesting and original, like there are discoveries to be had (Edit: also Port of Entry, the music and themeing there is magical) . Seeing it deteriorate over the years has been really disheartening. I hope to get back before they close Poseidon's Fury, I've always adored it.
