I know this is kinda out there but do you guys think they could also be doing something like “ the shed” from KI for grizzly of course also with the retrack if they went with GCI

I wouldn’t be surprised to see some thematic additions since that’s the way this park is heading, but I doubt anything like the shed will be a thing for this ride. For one, where would you put it? With Mystic, there’s a long enough brake run + transfer area to make the transition from outdoor to indoor not so abrupt. With grizzly, you’d be exploding into it. Theoretically speaking, putting a shed on this ride, on the brake run, would increase the dispatch interval, because if that other train is dispatched, well now there’s an extra amount of time there isn’t a train in the station. A shed like element would probably be best done on the straight away that involves the transfer prior to the lift. Even then, with how the shed was received at KI, I think it’s likely CF would be hesitant to add one to an already existing ride.

Yeah very true I was only thinking they would put it if there was some kinda major layout change at the the end but also since it wasint recived that well it makes sense but I do hope we get some kinda theming to the ride wether it’s the queue or a new entrance or some better train cars

Why are people so upset that it will continue to run the PTCs? It’s what the ride was designed for. Also, iirc, they tried timberliners on voyage and they were too heavy, so they might want to avoid any extra damage those could cause.

This is fantastic! I am super excited for when it re-opens next season. So glad this is a restoration and not a conversion. And GG being involved... such great news!

I hate they way those trains twist and contort your body which prevent you from sitting straight up. The trains from the early years were fantastic.

PTC trains with individual lap bars are a poor modification of the buzz bar version. But really all they'd need to do is arch up the bar between the pivot and the lap bar itself to make room for your leg on that side. I actually got a hole in my pocket on Grizzly in its quest to shove the contents out; usually I remember to transfer everything to the other side.

The trains were always by PTC. The original restraints pivoted from the top-front of the seat compartment and went across the whole bench seat. At some point, the PTC trains were re-fitted with the bottom pivoting individual lap bars. PTC's conversions were not good for me as I could no longer sit straight forward and had to sit at an angle to fit.

At the very least I’d enjoy the seat dividers being changed to be like Kings Island and Holiday Worlds wooden coasters where there is a large hole. Just feels a bit more comfortable than when the entire divider is solid. At least for me.

I'm left with mixed feelings about this news. On one hand I am happy to see Cedar Fair put love and investment into this classic woodie. On the other hand what always made this ride great for me is 2 things… 1. The wooded setting-very unfortunate to see those trees inside the station turnaround gone. 2. The coaster's unrelenting roughness- I always expected and respected the beating this thing gave you.
