While two RMCs in a park would be absolutely incredible, I vote no, and this is coming from someone who actively dislikes Grizzly. Maybe give it some retracking or those new PTC trains with an open front/Timberliners.

Grizzly is PERFECT... (when the trims are off)
It is SUPPOSED to rattle and feel completely out of control.

That is its purpose and it does it well...
There's a difference between having a rattle and feeling like you're riding on square wheels.

So... railblazer clone

I still think a larger Raptor would be a perfect replacement for Volcano.

As for Grizzly's retracking, I wonder if it'll still have that out-of-control feeling even if it's smoother. The last time the ride got any sort of track work was back in 2015 or 2016, and that was just the first drop, so I'm really curious about how this larger retracking project will impact the ride experience.

Suggestions of steel track make me understand how defensive some of you are for Nessie.

It will be too smooth for a while, after restracking. But they've now retracked most or all of Racer section by section, I'm still waiting for the drop to get the right bump but the rise into the turnaround retracked for 2009 will need it again in a few years.

Grizzly was last perfect in early October 2018, after which it developed a bad oscillatory bounce I call a pogo, which makes the front row one of the worst rather than its usual relatively butter smoothness. Still rode it though.

I don't mind rough coasters but the seat size/padding on Grizzly is insufficient. I'm not that big a guy (6' 255), and I barely fit into the seat. So every time I come off of it I'm all bruised all over my legs.

I love Grizzly. It was awesome last season in spite of how rough it had gotten. It feels out of control and awesome. I hope the retracking doesn't nerf it too much, but it doesn't look like they are going overboard with it... at least last we saw. Any new re-tracking footage out there somewhere?

I don‘t think we know whether or not it’s completely done, but here’s a photo from December showing a ton of new wood on the lift:

That lift is gonna be so smooth! But seriously, I can’t wait to ride the revamped Grizzly. Well, I can wait until I get the vaccine. But after that is all done, I’m there.

Has anyone heard any news on if Grizzly will be ready and running on the passholder preview day? Has there been any news on its retracking work status?

I know a large portion of the track has been redone including the turnaround after the first drop, some (if not all) of the track in the tunnel, and the hill over the tunnel. I have no idea if it'll be ready for opening day or not.

Thanks. Didn't know everything they'd done either. I really hope it's open for the preview day, but if they are still working on it, they are still working on it.
