Do they only update the ride closures page once the season has started, or are we likely to see something there before opening day?

The ride closures page is pretty new (I think it was added after the 2019 season started) so there’s not a lot of precedent to go by. My guess is they’ll mention the track work online as opening day gets closer, probably via a blog post.

Seems like they ought to announce it now. I'm not clear on why they haven't. What's the plus to waiting? It's good news and they need good news.

The only thing that actually may help in this scenario is a re-track of grizzly.

Has there been any news about the track-work they were going to do on Grizzly? Are they proceeding with it while closed?

Grizzly's trackwork was started but not completed. Assuming KD opens in 2020, Grizzly is not planned to operate at all this year.

Wouldn't be shocked but I hope the ride will be ready by the beginning of next year then.

Too bad it's not going to open this year, but hell yeah for doing the retracking! Not sure I'd get to ride it this year anyway. Good time for them to do extensive work on the rides. Also huge kudos to CF for extending our passes through next year. I wish SF would do that (for season passes - we don't have memberships, but we have gold passes with full meal and drink plan. Sigh), but now that their parks are open, I doubt they will.

Nice, but it doesn't look like they've made much progress. I see only one short section of track that has been replaced? Of course the do have plenty of time to get it done for next year. Also pretty sure these folks are breaking the rules. Looks like they are flying over the park.

Definitely breaking the rules and a guy way to get banned from the property if caught

Very excited if they're giving Grizzly a ton of love this offseason that ride can be very fun when it isn't jack hammering you to death like it did when I rode last in 2018. Wonder if there's any other substantial park improvements going on.

Some kind of grand reopening would be a good way to generate buzz, as would better wayfinding to the ride.
