However, on the contrary to that, I actually believe Apollo's Chariot is one of the only B&M's to have a big 'spirit.'

I agree with this.  AC is not like most B&Ms

You all need to ride more b&ms. My problem with apollo is that of all the B&M Hypers it is probably the one with the least exciting layout, and drops are fun, but it's so repetitive I just can't stand it.

I expect you are refering all the inverts.
As I mentioned earlier, inverts bore me.

OK question here is the retracking done? I don't know anything about this so I don't know if this is even physically possibly but it looked like there was a lot of equipment sitting off to the side between it and Hurler so has the whole ride been done or only part? Also I have to say I have ridden it twice now and do not plan again both times I have come off feeling hurt not a ouchy but actually feeling hurt. Nothing serious and it does go away after getting off and walking a minute or to and restreching out but it's enough to take the fun out of it. Also it's a this coaster thing not a woodie thing as Rebel Yell and Hurler don't do anything to me.

Every time I go to KD i do what I call the Three Bear Challenge, aka ride Grizzly three times in a row, once in front, once in the middle, once in the back. I did this yesterday and somehow had forgotten just how intense this ride is. It seriously feels like Grizzly is actively trying to kill you.

Also, is the wikipedia article for Grizzly accurate? Can a wooden roller coaster actually pull 5.5 Gs?!

I would question 5.5 gs unless they cited a source. "My high school physics class trip to KD" is not a valid source.

I rode the Grizzly yesterday and was surprised how smooth the ride was. Did they retrack it recently? Anyway I was impressed.

KD really needs to send their trains off to PTC for refabrication. I find it all depends on the upholstery of the seat as to whether you will have a good ride or a bad ride on Grizzly. There are several seats that you can feel the steel frame of the seat in your back and that is where i have problems. Caro had all of the padding and vinyl replaced on Hurler and Thunder Road just a couple of seasons ago and those trains are SOOO plush and SOOO comfortable. I'm not going to downplay Caro's Hurler retracking by any means as it truly is an marked improvement, but I also feel like the amazingly plush seats on Caro's woodie trains also has a lot to do with how great their woodie's ride compared to KD's woodies. There is actually two/two and a half inches more of padding on those train seats than KD's, not gonna lie.

I think all of KD's wooden coaster trains could use a complete refurbishment. The padding desperately needs improvement, like Shane said, and in general, they are just looking rough. I've seen pieces of the coaster car completely chipped off and painted over. It gives off a sort of "ghetto" feeling if I'm to be completely honest.

I can't see grizzly causing 5.5s doesn't the intimidator only cause 5?

You must have been sitting in a good seat. Grizzly tries to kill me every time I ride it, although it is immensely better than hurler IMO.

We rode in the first car so maybe that helped. My son will be riding the Grizzly for the first time on Friday so hopefully the ride is as smooth then. The Grizzly has always been easier on me than the Hurler.
