The train on the outside part of the storage barn does get covered in the winter occasionally to protect it from rain/ice damage.
edit: I saw that someone else already said this, my badNot that - but there was a Griffon train under a tarp in the maintenance bay for a long time, and my recollection coming from this thread was that it had somehow caught fire.
I so hope it's like 7DMT or something where there's multiple photos that you can get on the same rideThere has been a new camera installed at Griffon. It is aimed at the splashdown and has a flash that goes off when a train passes by. I wonder if this will be a new/alternate photo location.
I hope you had a blast! I used to be a tour guide for the parkWe did a coaster tour and got up close with one of Griffon's trains! (and grab some unique angles from usually "employee only" areas)
Griffon was my first non-vest dive coaster. It definitely has the others beat when it comes to airtime, but some of those whippier manuevers slammed my head into the restraintsOtherwise, this thing was lots of fun.
It was great! We also checked out Loch Ness Monster, and would have checked out Alpengeist, but the maintenance bay for Alpie was apparently busy that dayI hope you had a blast! I used to be a tour guide for the park
I dunno if Griffon does, but I remember seeing at one time that the hold chain can be randomized between 2-5seconds. You might have seen a long hold and then experienced the short one.I finally rode Griffon on Sunday. It was great, I was ready, didn't even close my eyes. The hang somehow seems longer watching from the ground than when you are actually up there. Is that possible?
Promptly signed up for the Insiders Tour on August 8th. Can't wait.

Hopefully I will remember to ask these questions or they will be answered on my tour next week.I have heard from a former Cedar Point op that B&M dives can also flop where they miss the hold chain and fall inmediately. Uncommon in normal operation but it can be forced somehow to happen every time.

Both of these are false.I have heard from a former Cedar Point op that B&M dives can also flop where they miss the hold chain and fall inmediately. Uncommon in normal operation but it can be forced somehow to happen every time.
Right should it catch on the chain rollbacks? Maybe it doesn’t work like that but i would suspect something similar if stopped? Both of these are false.
Can the hold chain just always run? They said during an ERT Valravn had no hold just sent it the whole time. Could also just be a rumor and they never saw it themself. Both of these are false.
