How friendly is Griffon to plus sized riders?
Im a little more plus sized in the waist and while it's been close some times, I've always fit. My wife is smaller than me, but plus sized in the chest, if ya know what I mean, and she hasn't been able to ride Griffon or Alpie since 2018. My best advice is use the test seat. If you can get both the belts buckled, you should be able to go on. That said, each set of seat sensors are set individually and may vary. The double buckle ones are supposed to be more forgiving though.

If you search this thread, I believe there was a few posts that explained why there was always one train covered by a tarp in the maintenance bay - something on that train caught fire.

Not to be confused with the Balmoral Castle train on the railway also catching fire, or the roof of Escape from Pompeii burning for real.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I recall there being a discussion about this maybe 3-4 years ago

Back in 2018 the blue locomotive exploded on the Railroad. Sound familiar?
Not that - but there was a Griffon train under a tarp in the maintenance bay for a long time, and my recollection coming from this thread was that it had somehow caught fire.

Not sure where that came from but I don't recall that and to the best of my knowledge there has never been a fire. BGW has been rotating one train out of service for full tear down and rebuild almost continuously for several years now on Griffon, Apollo, Verbolten, and Alpengist to take strain off of maintenance during the closed period now that it's so short that is why you almost always see one train from those in the sheds.
