If that's true that will suck. I know Invdar is opening but closing Griffon and possibly EiTA for the season would just be bad all around for lines etc.

Tge parks main site shows it up. They tend to miss updating info on parts of the app in between seasons. My guess is that they just missed changing the info on Griffin when they updated from Christmas Town.

I believe thats the case. Griffon and Apollo's are my two favorite coasters in the park b/c they have the smoothest ride.

This.

There is absolutely no reason for Griffon to be closed for all of 2017. The park will mostly likely begin testing it soon (along with all the other coasters and rides) if they haven't done so already.

A day late with this but Happy 10th Birthday to Griffon.  While the official opening was on May 18, 2007, the park soft-opened the ride to the GP on Sunday, May 13, 2007 in the late afternoon.  I took my first ride on Media day (May 16, 2007) and the ride officially opened two days later and a week earlier than initially planned (the park announced May 25, 2007 as the official opening earlier that year).

The best part about Griffon during HOS for me has always been plunging into a cloud of thick fog. Some small part of me has always wanted them to pump some fog into the drop area during a summer nighttime event. It couldn't cost that much, right?

One of my favorite coaster experiences ever was at Cedar Point on M. Force.  It was night and heavy fog, so you couldn't see the bottom.  If Griffon had anyway to simulate that at night, it would instantly become a better coaster.
I am so jealous right now. That sounds awesome.

I wonder if there's a way to simply have a fog machine or something like Mushroom suggested. I'm not sure how big it would need to be to produce enough, though? Hmm...

just a standard fog machine because I remember from 2014 that the fog machines for Howl o Scream were turned up in power and it created a huge blanket of fog that had people running into each other myself included.

Finally rode front row on this. Wife hates heights and she actually rode the front with me. I had the 3rd seat in from the right, so I had nothing below me. At least she had the track rail below her. I didn't get to ride it enough (I had an inner ear not agreeing with stomach thing happening that day). Still managed 3 times on it. They really need to get the bee spray out for the lift hill. So many wasps!

Wasps are a perennial and industry-wide problem. There are several discussions about it, but I think this is probably the most useful post.
