Doesn’t look like it. If you search for Grand Prix Raceway on the site’s search bar, its page redirects to the Attractions page. They’ve definitely removed it.

Even if it is... Back to my original question: why now?
COVID would have been a perfect time to cut it if it was a cost based or staffing decision. And I highly doubt the planned merger is dramatically affecting this year's operations budgets at any park.
And we know about the upcoming wing, which can only mean the question of what next after the wing points this direction.
Could we see more than one project kick off this year?

Very curious to see if there are any on the ground changes to spot on opening weekend. I assume the area hasn't been touched and won't be for a long while, but you never know.

I can only hope this is setting the stage for either upping the theming of Olde Virginia, adding some flats back in the Grimm Woods area would be neat if they could leave most of the trees standing and build around them.
Or take Grizzly and run with the Grizzly Woods theme, creating an area based on that, focusing on bear or Appalachian themes. I don't really expect that, though.

I thought of this, removing the carts is good.
How fun would a family style launcher like Big Bear Mountain, but make it dueling and racing themed to moonshine? I feel like that would really fit Old Virginia well, fit a cool hole in the entire region well, and could use some of the land back there. If they could somehow pull off that the current Gran Prix space is the queue and station, then the ride goes into the woods without too many trees coming down it could be really special. A little interaction with White Water Canyon and the backside of Grizzly would really be incredible.

So long as it doesn't block progress on any new plans for reusing the DA plot.
Maybe I need to have this explained but what’s with the obsession with a family boomerang? The way I look at it KD already has 4 family friendly coasters that are on the shorter side, so that’s why I would like one with length to it. Invert is fine but again, I don’t think it needs to be family friendly.
KD is one of the best parks anywhere for kids coasters progression through different height categories. The area it is more lacking is middle of the pack, smooth rides with broader appeal, which the wing will definitely help with.
I always thought a long, low to the ground launched coaster through the woods like Manta (San Diego) or Big Bear would be epic. Put the starion where the go carts are, and send the track where the Dino's path is. It would be a great night ride if the woods section would be kept dark.

@warfelg I was more thinking to fit that specific area. I know everyone wants a big bad coaster back there, but I think a family coaster like a boomerang or invert could help lift Old Va up a bit while retaining its current charm. Have a nice family friendly show back in the theatre and I think we’d have a winner.
With Canyon, Blue Ridge, Log Flume, Eagles, and Grizzly being family rides I was thinking of something that compliments the areas lineup. That’s all.

Noted and respectable. Just a feeling, because I don’t really go into Old Virginia all that much. I don’t really have a draw unless I want to ride Grizzly, but then I don’t go through the bulk of OV. I feel like a family shuttle over a family thrill coaster would effectively make 2 kids areas.
Now I’m not saying that there shouldn’t be kid friendly rides, rather I’m a big proponent of the need to make those rides really well spread out in a park to encourage everyone to go everywhere. People talk about the area next to Delerium, and I think that would be the best place for a family shuttle, if they even want one.
This would be a great idea, but currently the DA path is occupied by GrimmWoods, so unless they removed all the props back there, I don't see them using that path. But still, if this were to happen, it could bring people back over to Old Virginia for more than just the Grizzly.
I can see the logic behind making Old Virginia a family area, which I believe is different from Planet Snoopy, which a children's area. The former is something that parents enjoy with their kids of varying ages and can also be fun for teens and adults alone (especially those who don't enjoy high-thrill attractions). The latter is primarily where parents watch their kids go on rides by themselves.
