I've never been on Expedition Everest but from what I've seen on video, It's Big thunder with a mount Everest theme. Disney needs to be a little more unique with their coasters besides strictly family ones, put a few bigger ones in one of the parks. we should probably move this discussion to the best ride of all time thread in general discussion.

Judging a ride based on a video is like judging a movie based on a trailer.

That being said, Verbolten looks like a pretty lame ride on video too.

I was judging it off of a POV...

You are aware a POV is still a video...right? *concerned*

No, you said you only watched a POV of Everest and are making assumptions that it's a lame ride from the POV when you've clearly never ridden it. You can't really judge how awesome/lame a ride is based on a POV. You actually have to experience it before you can judge it.

That would be like me saying Verbolten is a lame ride because it looks lame from the POV. Obviously I've ridden it plenty of times and can say it's a top-notch coaster (my third favorite in the park), but based on the POV, it's a rather average family coaster with a few props here and there (think Space Mountain).

This is getting a little off topic...

Agreed!

I've been on Everest dozens of times and to call it "BTMRR with a Mt. Everest theme" is absolutely ridiculous and stupid. Expedition Everest is one of the most intense rides the company has ever created. The reverse helix pulls some strong g-forces and the drop out of the mountain is awesome, especially in the back of the train. It's also a lot faster because it is significantly taller. Those are just a few of the elements of the ride that sets itself apart from BTMRR (which is just a glorified kiddie coaster).

I'm sure the results for this get more ridiculous every year.

Not surprising since it's been ridiculous since it first started!
