I believe the only thing that was "bashed" was having user tags. This system will send a notification depending on what the user sets them to get notifications for. At this time, the system doesn't allow for @user tags.
But after seeing the system in place, we all seem to like it a lot.
I brought this up in the "incessant editing and deleting" thread yesterday. Would the admins at all consider adding a "
" emoticon to the list? This way those wanting the context of "colorful" language could easily utilize an alternative. If used in excess, this would simply fall into the rule of "excessive smileys" instead of the heavily debated "excessive language" rule. Would staff consider this addition at all?
