RE: Food & Wine Festival Booths that should stay after the event ends
Greece, it looks great, and the food is decent yet still lacking but I wouldn't use the words bad or horrid. I think the team members just needed to put some more effort into their work, but otherwise that booth was very nice yet still the least desired.
How was the Germany booth bad? I thought the presentations were pretty good. How can you compare a full-fledged established restaurant that has been there for years to a small temporary stand? Honestly, I though this booth probably landed in the middle of all scales.
Honestly you have to keep in mind these are samples, not full meals. Expect less not more. Like many executives advertised, your only meant to get a two to four bite portion. I think some of the portions were actually quite large for samples, but I am not complaining. I think everything, Spain included, was priced and portioned right, even Greece.
This is a theme park, not a world class restaurant. The best you are going to get is high school and college students looking for extra cash. Honestly, I don't care if the team members making the food don't care as long as the food tastes good and looks decent. What is the point in bringing in specialty person(s) for what 30 days only? That has got to be the record for the shortest job time span ever. Seriously, if there is a problem with the team members attitude, then all the park can really do is encourage them. You don't see the park hiring professional game show hosts, ride engineers to to daily ride operations, high end chefs, or anything professional really. A theme park operates on getting one person to do one thing repetitively for about a year depending on multiple factors. Don't expect professionals at a theme park, period. Unless they are guests such as Virginia Willis.
Also, team members have no idea when or if they get reviewed by guests for any reason. What probably happened was, someone who was new put too much meat on and was told hey, you need to put less on and so yeah. Not that big of an issue, that's like some new kid working at Mcy D's and gives you extra hot fudge by accident.
