I really love the Brazilian lemonade and Churrasco, both are a great combination. The Cuban sandwich is good but cold use a little more flavor. Hawaiian Mac and cheese was awesome. And the ghost pepper guac was a little more spicy than it was last year. Does anybody know if they are still making stuff like ham spread at the chef demos?

Has anyone seen the prices posted anywhere? It would be helpful in deciding whether to buy one of the samplers.

Here are all of the menus.  I apologize for their appearance: we honestly took them for our own reference, not for display purposes.  We will also list all of the prices in Part Two of our F&WF review.

This video has to be a joke.

Whoever put Chef Justin up to identifying the Mac & Cheese as the first of three "must try dishes at the Food & Wine Festival" should be fired immediately.

For anyone who doesn't want to watch the video, number two is the Lettuce Wrap with the Shrimp Etouffee in third.

Are any booths ever open during the week? It seems like some of the busiest ones should be, at least during the evening.

Also i had the best schnitzelwich I've ever had there last Saturday. I hope it says in the brauhaus year round, like the german meatballs. Those were also very good.

We just posted the second part of our 2018 review. It includes scores for every dish, as well as, our thoughts on everything we tasted.

Once again, I’d like to thank Thomas, Zimmy, Renee, and Meri for conducting this review with Zachary and me. We owe Luke a huge thank you, as well, for photographing all of the booths for us!

I was able to taste three things this past weekend and enjoyed them all. I had the molten chocolate lava cake at the Southwest American booth. The lava was spicy and a great compliment to the chocolate cake which was very moist. Then I had the beignets at the French Quarter booth and those were very tasty. I didn't think I would enjoy the caramel sauce drizzled on top but it was a nice addition. Finally, I had the samosas at the India booth and they were very good! Loved them all!

I was so disappointed with the mac & cheese. It was dry, flavorless and had obviously been sitting around too long. No pineapple or macadamia taste to the pretty much non existent crust.

Was lucky enough to get asked to do the food and wine survey for this year. Daughter did too. Seemed they asked a lot of the same overall questions but the both specific questions were varied and considered of some about older booths and some about the new booths. One question I particularly found interesting was the question about a cooking class. Makes me think they have that offering on their minds for next year. Would certainly be something I would be interested in attending. Even if for a small fee.
