Not a bad idea either, CK! I'll do that since I FINALLY get to refill mine with real COCA-COLA instead of the Hi-C we always have to do so the kids can have some. NO KIDS on this upcoming visit! I can't recall the last time I went to an amusement park without kids in tow. Has to be sometime in the mid-1990's.....

I'll be heading out this weekend for my first official trip. I did visit the park Saturday and I have to say, I was surprised the booths came out as well as they did on such a short build time. Well done. Great story as always Nora.

I had so much fun at the wine Festival I could barely get this thing in writing! The park looked beautiful, the food was great! Hope to see you around Oldtimer. :D Thanks for the compliments.

I love when the park lets their videography team shine. They do amazing work yet we see so little of it.

Doesn't the park contract an outside group to do these types of videos? The videos made by their PR department typically tend to suck extremely badly.

REALLY looking forward to going tomorrow! Thanks to Nora for that wonderful write up about the festival. I have a feeling my wallet is going to be completely empty by the time we leave the park!

Dishes I know I want to try:
Gravad Lax Rarakor (I love salmon!)
Vichyssouise (Chilled soup for a hot day sounds perfect)
Venison sausage & Corn Porridge
Linzer Torte
Currywurst (Everyone's raving over this - must try also)
German Beer Flight #1
Panna Cotta
Venera Con Jamon (LOVE saffron rice!!!)
Souvlaki Tzatziki
Halloumi (Griddled cheese sounds amazing)

That's over $50 already and that's not counting my girlfriend & her older son...whew, this is gonna hurt. haha!

I saw that today. Already printed it out and will so be making this at home! It is sooooo good. I recommend trying this at the Food & Wine festival. It really reminded me of the type of street food you find in Germany.

Mmmmmmmmmmm.....Baked Beans & Toast. How hard would it *really* be for BGW to add that to the permanent breakfast menu? (And this is for the BGW higher ups to read.....USE THE TOMATO BASED SAUCE KIND, NOT BBQ......Huge difference. Matter of fact, just use Heinz Baked Beans in the blue can. That's as authentic as it gets.) A nice serving of two pieces of toast with Heinz baked beans on top for $5. That'd be worth it for me. And the cost per serving to BGW? Easily less than 50 cents. Hard to knock a 1000% markup.

Staying on topic, it would have been nothing for them to add "Bangers & Mash" to the England menu IF they had put in an England kiosk. Essentially the same as the Currywurst in Germany, only with onion-infused mashed potatoes & some brown gravy. That'd have been awesome!!

British Cuisine is not appreciated by most of the world flavors, but I particularly love the simplicity and the fact that it "fills you up!"

Bangers & Mash, also known as sausages and mash, is a traditional British dish made of mashed potatoes and sausages, which may consist of a variety of flavoured sausage made of pork or beef or a Cumberland sausage. It is sometimes served with onion gravy, fried onions, baked beans and peas.

I like the peas. Makes the whole meal have a touch of sweetness.

Fish and chips is a take-away food which consists of battered fish and deep-fried chips, sometimes accompanied by mushy peas and tartar sauce. The dish originated in Great Britain in the 19th century, where the fish served is commonly cod or haddock.

I also think besides the Traditional English Breakfast (an image and breakdown of the meal I have already posted) scones and teas would be a great addition as well.

OH MAN!!! Imagine if they had a traditional "Tea time" thing in the England hamlet! Earl Grey for me, thanks! :) Yeah, they missed the boat by not putting in a England kiosk....Would make the hamlet more than just a entrance/exit thing for us...
