Please excuse the double-post. The park's official description doesn't sound like Star Spangled Nights. Maybe this really was a mistake.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg said:
Thrilling summer Saturdays at Busch Gardens® Williamsburg will now feature a spectacular firework show. We will end our Summer of Thrills with a bang. The pyrotechnic displays will illuminate the skies over the park, adding a flashy element to the fun-filled days. Watch as the colorful display is set to a soundtrack that reflects the European cultures and countries of Busch Gardens.

Join us throughout the park for our firework show every Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. from August 6 through September 3.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there was something different about these fireworks. I'm not sure why or how, but it looked unique in comparison to their more off the shelf feeling regular display. I realize it was pass member night. I did find it strange, however, that although they were playing the SSN show, they made an announcement saying that it was "in honor of our pass members". They even replaced the traditional postlude song with a last minute recording done by a lady instead of Phil, reflecting on honoring pass members.

I don't think it's a big deal, personally. I just don't think it matches up with a show intended to honor our country. I would not be surprised if someone made a mistake in communication somewhere along the line. The website still says the Saturday only fireworks will pay tribute to the countries represented at Busch Gardens. Oh well.

The post fireworks announcement yesterday is actually the same as the Illuminights post-firework announcement, with the exception of the pass member thing. "From all around the world, our Busch Gardens Family bids you adieu, and wishes you safe travels home."
