Now that would be worth it! ^ I know it's been talked about before, but is their a slight possibility a coaster could be placed in it?

Do you mean a virtual simulator ride in place of Europe in the air? Or an actual physical coaster?
I meant an actual physical coaster, I know their isn't much room, but they could add on to the building, and have a FoF style coaster.

No, there's a massive valley back there. Only land suitable for a large building like that would be the parking lot behind EitA.

But wasn't the area you were talking about in the new coaster locations thread there?

A flat building built over a valley looks awful. Coaster supports can be put into any terrain. :p

So what youre saying is, use that building as the queue line, and have the roller coaster outdoors behind it? I like it :p

Yes. Queue and station inside, coaster outside. We should probably move this over to the next coaster thread. :p

You know guys...if you believe you can achieve. Why, once upon a time, there was a wide expanse of open country with nothing but trees, rivers, and buffalos (and lots and lots of indigenous people) and with some elbow grease and a little can-do attitude, our forefathers did something no one else (except for the multitude of people already living here) had done before: made a home in AMERICA.

Vallies? Psssshh. Small buildings? Give me a break.

Are you guys Ameri-cans or Ameri-can'ts? HUH!?

Revenge of the Mummy: in. Europe in the Air: out. BOOK IT.

A common complaint seems to be that the queue is inappropriately themed, but I don't understand this complaint. The flight occurs on a magic sled of sorts and its departure and arrive occurs within an Irish castle.

Kind of. :s

I have no problem with the "underground castle" queue concept. In fact, I think it's pretty cool. But the queue video should tell a story of a "magic sled" or something. They don't. You're basically looking at a standard airport reservation desk, and booking a tour flight on some modern new jet ("Slipstream 3000" ?). Seems incredibly out of place to have that "story" set in the basement of a castle in the Irish hillside.

A cooler story would be something like you being invited to be test passengers on some sort of top secret experimental glider or whatever, and have the story screens explain that to you. And actually have some sort of video in the boarding screen instead of just a bunch of motionless dots.

I could go on and on...

If you look at the posters to your left while you're walking down the hallway to the exit, you'll see pictures of a commercial jet flying over the places you just visited. I'm pretty sure that commercial jets aren't as wide and short as the room you were sitting in(The biggest I've seen is 6 seats in a row and EitA is about 10).

This could be fixed by, as you said, replacing this implied jet with some sort of glider-thing, or maybe even scraping the whole airplane thing altogether!
Here's my idea:

1. Dig up the old footage of Douglas(?) shrinking you and putting you in a box for the preshow.
2. Make the story that you're strapped to the back/in the claws of either Archibald(?) the griffon or whats-his-face the horse/pegasus taking a trip through Europe. I guess Archibald would be easier because you wouldn't have to edit in a horse head on the screen.
3. New audio. Can anyone get the phone numbers of the old voice actors?
4. Fill in the plot holes.

Anyway, my point is, EitA can be so much better with so little effort!

P.S. You're right, we can go on and on.
P.P.S. Sorry for the wall of text. I was creatively inspired just now.

The fact that they play pre flight chatter all around you is the best part of the ride. I don't think that the pre show is the rides problem...

I honestly didn't mind EitA....but them having you standing in line on those lights like a bunch of new Marine Corp recruits was a bit weird. Kind of like that Apple 1984 commercial. Still, the show was fun, although I started to get motion sickness about 2/3 the way through, which was weird because I NEVER get motion sick. Maybe it was just my breakfast of Froot Loops & beer....Yeah, that could be it. lol :)

Having you stand on the lights is the easiest way for them to organize people down the rows. I think it's actually good because it allows you to sit with people you want to sit with, without stopping up the whole line or going backwards in line (ie: Darkastle).

It is kind of military-like, though, having to stand in straight lines and having the people tell you sternly where to sit. :)
