I've been quiet because I feel my case as already been sufficiently stated; however, I guess I should mention this: Since the original story, we've had multiple additional trusted sources come forward and reaffirm that budget cuts were the sole reason behind the ride's closure. The Howl-O-Scream preparation work that is, in fact, taking place wasn't something that was planned before the ride's closure- the Entertainment department is simply taking advantage of the opportunity to get an early start on Thirteen's construction.

Makes you wonder what the average park goer is thinking this summer..." They closed my favorite ride to prepare for Howlo-what?!? Isn't that in October?"

True, but I'm fairly certain the average park goer didn't consider EitA their favorite ride. ;)

Well, it is one of my family's favorite rides at the park. We can't be alone. It's just easy to pick on a ride that has gotten a bad reputation and make the generalization that everyone hated it when in fact some people actually liked it or even looked forward to it.

Well said, gardener14! I often take friends and family that have never been to the park. At first, I was nervous about bringing them on this ride, thinking they would think the same thing I think about the ride. I was very wrong. In fact, in most cases it ends up being one of their favorite rides in the park. I realized that your average person doesn't get to go often (if ever). To those people, the ride seems world class like all their other rides. I'm not going to be the one to tell them whether they're right or wrong. If they seem happy, that makes me happy. It is for this reason that I enjoyed riding it every now and then. I loved hearing kids get excited, as they said something along the lines of "Look Daddy! It's the Eiffel Tower!" or "Look Mommy! That's Stonehenge, I learned about that in history class!" So while I might not miss the ride itself that much, I will miss seeing the people enjoying it.

That is exactly how I feel and why someone at the park should have considered announcing that the "Final Flight would be Leaving" and gave folks a chance to have gone on the ride once more.

I hardly rode EitA but had I known it was going away, I would have had one last run on the ride before it closed. :(

My gosh!! While sitting at a covered table in full view of KK around noon, you would not believe how many people came up to EITA thinking it was open. I didn't count, but I would say it was way over a hundred in about 20 minutes. I felt so sorry for them. Many of them walked away looking angry and dejected. It was the same comment and question over and over... What? It's closed?!? Howl-O-Scream? Isn't that in October? Can't believe they closed a major attraction during the summer for that!

If only these folks knew...

BTW, EITA hasn't been on the board in the England lot showing "Closed Attractions" for two weeks now. I know it's on the website, but still. We are talking GP'ers here.

What they need to do is remove all mention of the ride everywhere. Remove it from the site, remove it from the map, remove it from the app, and remove all the signage and theming from the outside. Take down the EITA signs and lights and such. Do exactly what they did with Pirates except don't put anything up except for maybe a faux brick wall covering up the entrance.

Remember that is the list of "Temporary" Closed Attractions, not permanently closed attraction list :p
