Seems like Pompeii being Pompeii. It's one of a few rides I've evacuated.
happens at least once a day. Any number of sensors glitches or issues will stop it. Honestly with the gas and other stuff I really won't complain to much about the ride shutting down often as it seems like a over abundance of caution isn't the worst thing.
Unless something has changed over the years anytime the E-stop button is pushed it will force a 10-11 (evacuation of guests) given the water pumps stop. When I worked the ride this was another major contributor to downtime in addition to maintenance issues and gas alarms.
Hopefully this is a precursor to some facade work. I didn't hate the overgrown look, but if they're going to expose more of the structure, hopefully they're planning to clean it up.
If wonder if you're supposed to think when going down that drop that you're escaping just in time? Because this visual came up in my dreams and now I can't unsee it.

On its last ride they should make the whole building go up in flames as the boat goes down the drop
