I can see how somebody who knows the least amount of info about amusement parks would freak out seeing all that fire shooting around. You can definitely tell the technology isn't very new. I on the other hand love it and want to ride Pompeii every time I go when it's open!
HimDoesn't the ride safety sign (everyone generally ignores) include a basic rundown of what types of effects are in use so that could have served as that guest's warning they were looking for?
Him
"They should put a warning sign out front."
some one responded
"at the entrance to the ride there is a brown sign with warnings and ride restrictions. It does mention the effects used in the ride."
him
"Well in bold letters. But then that would give it away. I guess you want genuine screams of death and terror."
They were original to the opening of the ride. They added (or re-activated) mist effects to Pompeii’s sign.
Can’t say I noticed them before, but I assume they were there at some point in the past already.
They Finally fixed them the other day so they point forwards and go under the sign. They added (or re-activated) mist effects to Pompeii’s sign.

Definitely a better location the the clock.![]()
This picture (via @AlpenChrist97 ) got me thinking:
How cool would a projection on EfP year long be? In the summer as it get's dark you can do a really cool thing and make the projection get the building to look like new, and every few trips through the outside can "destruct" like the interior. Then during HOS it can be done to reflect the house that's inside. During CT it can be made to look like the light strings, and maybe get a themed show. In the spring it can get a new theme as well.
I think it would make a really great use of technology they have used and liven up a rather "dead" area of the park.
I thought they were doing at least colored lights on it for most events.![]()

Only reason I can think of placing a camera there is if they have had issues with boats stalling there and want to monitor that spotWhat the heck for at that location?
Crews appeared to be prepping it to and the boats have been moved out of storage snd ar visible behind the building.
