It looks like they fixed the light in the room with the falling statue.
The mist in the room before the drop was working as well.

There are several spots in the building where the paint is coming off the walls though, leaving fairly large white spots.

Saw this posted on FB and thought you guys might enjoy.

"Someone, somewhere, could have warned me about "Escape from Pompeii ". I had no idea what I signed up for.
😳
😱
☠
I thought it was just a boat ride."

same guy in comments part in response to being asked if it was the drop that was the issue.

"
No. I had no clue I was going to be inside of an inferno. If that was the case I never would have rode it.
"It was utter complete terror I experienced. I wasn't positive it was all part of the ride until it was over. Not knowing I'm thinking malfunction.
I screamed like I was going to die.
😰
☠
😬
"

"When it started I actually yelled out, "Hey everybody this statute is on fire". We gonna get off of here. I was dead serious."

I can see how somebody who knows the least amount of info about amusement parks would freak out seeing all that fire shooting around. You can definitely tell the technology isn't very new. I on the other hand love it and want to ride Pompeii every time I go when it's open!

I'm not sure how someone can ride a ride that is themed after a famous VOLCANO ERUPTING and think there won't be convincing effects. What did they expect? The seven dwarfs dancing around a hokey red led effect? In all seriousness, if they did infact have a panic attack on the ride, I truly do feel bad for them. When I was young I didn't like the ride because of all the fire and even had a panic attack the first time on Volcano at KD because of the fire effect at the top (plus them 90's LIMs are hella scary to an 8 year old).

Doesn't the ride safety sign (everyone generally ignores) include a basic rundown of what types of effects are in use so that could have served as that guest's warning they were looking for?

Him
"They should put a warning sign out front."

some one responded
"at the entrance to the ride there is a brown sign with warnings and ride restrictions. It does mention the effects used in the ride."

him

"Well in bold letters. But then that would give it away. I guess you want genuine screams of death and terror."

This guy should probably seek professional help.

They added (or re-activated) mist effects to Pompeii’s sign.

Can’t say I noticed them before, but I assume they were there at some point in the past already.

They Finally fixed them the other day so they point forwards and go under the sign.

Hope you got your 2021 rides in on Pompeii, the ride along with Log Flume is now listed as closed for the season on the website. There was a time in previous years in the September timeframe where Pompeii was open but only during the daytime before HOS started. Looks like this was a good opportunity for park to leverage this staffing for HOS attractions and to of course save on their natural gas bill! ;-)

This picture (via @AlpenChrist97 ) got me thinking:

How cool would a projection on EfP year long be? In the summer as it get's dark you can do a really cool thing and make the projection get the building to look like new, and every few trips through the outside can "destruct" like the interior. Then during HOS it can be done to reflect the house that's inside. During CT it can be made to look like the light strings, and maybe get a themed show. In the spring it can get a new theme as well.

I think it would make a really great use of technology they have used and liven up a rather "dead" area of the park.

I thought they were doing at least colored lights on it for most events.
