Sign pic that is a slightly different angle than the one @Thomas posted and a pic of some scaffolding at the top of the lift hill that is probably the work that @horsesboy mentioned.

That "scaffolding" used to have a themed tent hung from it prior to the 2019 season. It was removed and is now bare metal
I seen that and I kind of couldn't believe that they would just leave it there as it's unsightly. It's just another one of numerous details around the park that need to be fixed.

I'm just glad to see the park showing Pompeii some love instead of leaving it SBNO for the season, or worse, giving it the DarKastle treatment and letting it rot away until it's removed. Kudos for giving this beautifully themed ride some attention, BGW!

The new sign looks rad. The bright teal lettering stands out much more to its older counterpart without being too flashy, and the graffiti definitely emphasizes the “Escape From” without being too overwhelming or obnoxious.

Something to note as well is that the doors at the top of the drop were open last night with the lights on and it looked like there was some movement going on. This is the longest the attraction has ever been closed so hopefully some TLC has occurred not just on the outside but the inside as well!

They pulled the tent that goes on it down for Christmas Town each year. Given that there is on going work on it and they haven't announced an opening date yet I not sure it's fair to the park to assume that they won't put the ten up before opening it. There are large sections of the wood on the lift hill being replaced.

I'm PRAYING that they finally get the music in the last room and the door before the drop working again.

I would love to see whole sound system get an overhaul that keeps both ride operator sanity and guest enjoyment in mind. Is it possible that some of the reason for a lot of the soundtrack being way too quiet or muffled right now has to do with the employees stationed inside the show building?

It sucks if that’s the case, since the soundtrack is one of the best parts of the ride. I just hope the park can find a balance that’s good for both guests and employees.

Quick question, what is the area under the lift and drop for? As far as I know it’s always been gated off but it just looks like empty space

I believe it's just another Limited Access Area. I had another post on these in the Griffon thread. Don't (didn't) they use that area for the HOS maze queue?

That gravel area in front of the building is used as added queue for whatever maze sits there. The gated off path under the drop is used as the disability/quick queue entrance.
