I saw the revamped show yesterday. It's a good 5 minutes shorter. They tightened up a lot of the sections. Added a good bit of narration to guide the story along. Lots of tweaks but no MAJOR changes.

I don't feel like they made it worse, they took something that was clearly not for the Festhaus and tried to make it more "theme park" and less "broadway". The story is a bit more confusing because they cut a lot of dialog between the characters (hence the narrator), but the story is just more confusing as a result.

Busch is just back pedaling from all the mistakes they've made. To be honest they need to back pedal harder and just nip this in the bud.

The narration addes to the show. Does it make it better...somewhat. It does help with the confusion of the convoluted storyline. Will I go watch it again... only if the granddaughter is with me.

We got to see it today. Our 2 year old had to be taken outside because he was terrified. The 6 year old daughter never took her eyes off the performance. I prefer the old show, but the most upsetting thing was the lack of cheesy hash browns. What's with the apple flavored scalloped potatos anyhow?
