Anyone know how long they've been planning this? I'm surprised they're cutting things this close.

The park always cuts things close. Look at Festa for Christmas Town this past year. Talk about cutting close, it wasn't even fully finished for opening weekend. Then take a glance over a good old Mach Tower. Months behind. The park typically never truly finishes anything on time or early. I would say more or less late.

A friend who works at the park said that a few years ago, the Christmas Town in-park maps were still up literally 45 minutes before open on that year's Pass Member Day. Along with all of the wet paint signs.

Eww!! That Busch Gardens sign is so tacky!!

I told you guys earlier that once they put the stupid new logo up there then it would look horrible, don't say I didn't warn you. As my arguments over the logo said, They took the International theme out of it. I understand that yea they do have pretty gardens in the park, but isn't the main theme Europe! I wish they didn't paint those E-z pass printing thingies green it was good when it had the European flags on it. Seriously they should've made the logo more internationally themed. Are they going to put the logo on the arc too? Hopefully they will put flags, but they probably won't, And your right the logo is tacky on top of there. Also, by the way it looks, will the sign be able to light up?

I don't know why it would need it. This thing looks blinding enough as it is. Neon green! The aliens (Daleks) should have no problem finding the entrance to merry ole England.

I mean honestly, this thing just screams at you. So much for theming.....really hate this sign. And the color scheme is all over the place now for that area. Only thing I like is the fountain althought it looks very out of place IMO.

Do we possibly have our 2013 Sundial already?

I think we just might! It's such an eye sore. I'm not one to be critical of the park but I can't stand this sign.

I can't believe I'm on this side of the fence but I actually don't think it looks bad...

The colors don't bother you at all? It reminds me of a carnival with that bright neon.

It is pretty bright....... at least from the photo. I guess I will have to wait and see if the colors are a bit more muted when we arrive Sat. Things change in the last minute all the time. I am always amazed just how much the park can get done in so little time!

Remember- they only have from Jan 1st till March 16 to get all the updates, repairs, paint touch-ups... the list goes on and on. So be nice! They are like gnomes in the night that work till the job is done and when you walk in the next morning- the clouds part with a sunbeam shining bright rays upon the completed task and the choir of angels "~~~~Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!" echos around. All thanks to a very talented, hard-working, and dedicated crew to say the least!

I'm really interested in seeing that sign at night. TBH, that color is something you can totally find in Ireland.

Side note: Neon green is totally not pre-industrial European.

I'm actually surprised something like this hasn't come earlier. When new ownership took over, I assumed these changes would come a little bit quicker, and that they would try to change the park's image ASAP.
As far as the sign goes, I agree with Crackel on this one. It looks tacky, and just doesn't speak Busch Gardens to me (well, it's a sign so maybe it does :)). The neon is just not a good look for the park IMO.

I saw the thing in person and I gotta say I really like it. THe green isn't nearly as harsh as it looks in the picture. I think we are forgetting how bad the old entry (or lack there of) really looked. Finally the park has a sence of arrival again. We havn't had that since they moved the main entry from England to France. Anyone remember that cool flag structure they had in England? The double decker busses used to drop off guests in front of it.

The new area looks nice, I can't wait to see it finished, the longer the new logo has been around the less I care about it. I will say that it would have been better in that wonderful burgundy color the old one was in. That burgundy was the best.
