Anyone want the latest rumor on England? The renovation rumor was something said a while ago, while I think the Emporium could use some renovating, mostly because they could use the space there better to include more merchandise from around the entire park, that was a rumor a while back that I do have my doubt about but we can be looking forward to some type of renovation in England coming soon in 2014!

Yes, in 2014 The Globe Theater will be getting renovated to show a brand new LIVE show! And what is even much better than a brand new live show in the Globe Theater in 2014? The return of Monster Stomp Revamped in 2014! The new show will be debuting in The Globe Theater in 2014, along with the debut of the new show, Monster Stomp Returned wil return again in 2014 and will be located in The Globe Theater for Howl-o-Scream. The main reason for this is, Park Ops chooses to show the 4D films in the Globe, Entertainment will be taking back the Globe in 2014 and with that they will be renovating it, by fixing it up on the inside to include proper stage lighting, etc.

Along with this Globe Theater update, I wonder if the park will renovate anything else in England? Seems very likely since the park's idea of renovating Ireland was a new show and a new ride-ish.

Okay... but nothing for 2013?

I would like some sort of Iceploration style show in the Globe.
That would be awesome! I've seen Iceploration, and it is fantastic. You really have to see it in person to thoroughly enjoy it. Of course, I would love to see a good original show, but if not, I could see this show playing here in Williamsburg. The parks have had a history of sharing shows after all.

So, to be clear, if the Globe is renovated like that, does that mean it will no longer be capable of 4-D movies? Or will it be used for dual roles?

I too like England as is. Gotta think about anything I would like to see added/changed.

I would like to see them go all out with the theme, but a few areas I wouldn't mind being modern would be bathrooms in particular. I think the ones in Sesame Street that are the most modern look outstanding, but I would wish it if they did try to go back to the original themes with the original village names. I like how Killarney is still widely known through signage, with Aquitaine referenced in the Illuminights show in Ireland. The only exception is Howl-o-Scream. I want them to being in more modern like Haunted House. Primary example, see Deadline. Modern and sticks to the italian theme, where as the actual theme of Italy should be way way back in the old days.

Number one question I hate: *Standing in front of the bridge to Festa* Guest: Where is Italy? Me: Which part of Italy? Guest: I don't know, I'm trying to find . . . Me: Oh that is in . . . part of Italy.

Of course that was back when I used to work there.

^I know that they will be remodeling the bathrooms. The redid the ones at WCUSA and in Rhinefeld. I'm sure they will finish in the off season.

If Italy's theme is suppossed to be way way back in the old days, then why do they have a very modern restraurant show that takes place in modern times??????

I will confirm they are going to renovate the emporium, not tear it down. It's actually being called a "refresh." It's mostly cosmetic, new lights, fixtures, some layout changes for new displays, check out will be centralized at the back of the lower section. The only major structural changes are they are adding a second door to the lower section opposite the current double door in the corner, and they are adding a second double door to the upper section right beside the current door, removing the bay window to do so. Work is to start January 2nd and complete March 8th.

I was really hoping for a full tear down re-build renovation. Oh well, still it is sure to have a good fresh new feeling.

Also, with the pathways reflect the new doors? I have noticed a red brick road that leads specifically to the doors, any thought to if the brick road would be expanded to include the new doors?

Its good to here the walkway will reflect the new entrance. For all those interested I did find the building permit for the Emporium Refresh. You can find the permit and all information relating to it here: https://epermit.jamescitycountyva.gov/Permits/cc_permit.aspx

Here is a screen shot from that page if you get lost or if you are too lazy ton follow the link.

Here's a thought! Could they be replacing the first set of ticket booths with an archway? For guests to buy tickets at the always seemingly closed Here's to the Heroes ticket booths?

I saw this today. You're semi close. Basically they're removing the ticket booth closest to the ticket machine kiosks and redoing the entryway. The arch will now be diagonal from the corner where the kiosk machines are to the end ticket booth, now the second booth. A new fence in front of the kiosks, new planters and lights. Seems like a general dress up. Nothing on the Here's to the Heroes booths.

Hopefully this helps with visualization ( though it is outdated). I know I myself have trouble picturing thing in my mind. Perhaps someone can use their skill of an artist to mark this up.
