How that person has not been banned from that subreddit yet is beyond me.
Edit: Oh, it's because their rules are kinda weak.

Someone on Reddit thought it's freakin fake! Like dude, there's proof of it's existence.

I know it's not in the jerk sub but I'm 99% sure this is a shitpost. I laughed at it... Jesus Christ. I don't think this person is alright.
That’s Reddit for you. Overly dramatic, highly delusional, dumb as hell, or an unholy combination of the three. Just look at the way they speak of Great Adventure, obviously we’re in an off period for the park but you’d think they had bulldozed everything but half of El Toro and a Dippin Dots stand the way they talk about it being the lowest the park has ever been and how it’ll never recover (highly disrespectful imo given 1984’s fire). They love to point out how many rides were removed at the park, but happily omit the fact that 3 of them had been SBNO for all of 2024 and 1 of them was SBNO for most of it.
I yearn for the day when people can move on from Kingda Ka and stop acting so irrationally about it, and I’d wager I had more attachment to it than 90% of the people who continue to grumble about it.
"I had the best day ever at Disney!"I don’t believe the disrespect is intentional, but it is certainly there. I wasn’t alive when the fire happened either, but I feel as though making a statement that this is the lowest point in the park’s history should require you to actually know the park’s history, otherwise it comes off as little more than complaining for the sake of complaining, and in the case of a park like Great Adventure which has had a major tragedy, in poor taste.
Also, at no point did I imply this behavior was exclusive to Reddit, Facebook comments are even worse lol.
and the people you claim are "denying" this with their over-the-top statements about how the park is worse than ever more than likely do not know this. If you feel they should, start a public information campaign. There were years in the 80s where it was objectively far worse at Great Adventure. Several people died in a fire, gang fights literally caused the park to lose a coaster and see it sent to Great America instead (Shockwave), and a woman fell out of Lightning Loops to her death.
maybe if you're talking about r/rollercoasters in isolation sure. but it's in the top 20 hobby subs, and Reddit as a whole has far too many users for that statement to make sense otherwise. Also, the way I worded my initial post here made it clear I wasn't saying everyone, or even most people, on Reddit would be considered "GP."Also, not one single person who takes the time to post on Reddit is normal enough to be considered GP. GP are the people share with you a Facebook article about a park addition that was built at least two years ago because they “remembered you like coasters and were wondering if you heard of this? Looks like fun!”
I’m much more comfortable living with the knowledge that they’re wrong and continuing to happily live my life. They can sit there in their wrongness and be wrong and get used to it.and the people you claim are "denying" this with their over-the-top statements about how the park is worse than ever more than likely do not know this. Could be, although EPR doesn’t really own much around Minnesota other than some Montessori schools and private education facilities. At least in terms of other commercial real estate holdings or entertainment venues, the state seems to be a blind spot for them (although I guess that could always change).Keep an eye on Valleyfair. After researching the contact names on both of these Zoning Compliance/Verification Letters, it appears that Blew & Associates P.A. is behind the applications.
Good answer to avoid issues with the SEC.No new info, but someone had to ask.
From the earnings call:
Adam Fox, Analyst, Truist Securities: Yeah. Hey, good morning. This is Adam on for Patrick Scholes. Just wondering if there’s anything, you know, going back to the park optimization efforts, if there’s anything you can share about Enchanted Park Holdings in particular. Thanks.
John Reilly, President and Chief Executive Officer, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation: Yeah, Adam, we don’t have anything to share today on that front.
Adam Fox, Analyst, Truist Securities: Okay. Thank you. I’ll pass it along.
There are filing requirements for publicly traded companies. They can't just go around shooting off rumors that can move markets. No new info?
So they’re just hiding the fact that we all just saw it?!
What we saw was basically a formal notice that someone was exploring thise trademarks and MIGHT formally file for them in the future. We have no idea what triggered that notice could it be the SF is in formal talks to sale those properties yes. Could it be that Enchanted parks is considering sending SF an offer on thise parks and either backed outvor hasn't done so also yes. There are all kindsvof legal notices snd filings SF has to go through before the can announce something like that and until they do so it would be illegal for John to share anything. The analysist that asked the question pretty much knew what the answer was going to be before he asked itNo new info?

Just a little clarification here, what was filed was an "intent-to-use" trademark application, which is a bit more of a formal process than just "exploring those trademarks." The US Patent & Trademark Office requires the party filing an intent-to-use trademark application to have a "good faith intention to [use the trademark] in the future" and even requires a sworn statement certifying this intention. What we saw was basically a formal notice that someone was exploring thise trademarks and MIGHT formally file for them in the future.
