Did you get these at one location or multiple spots? These are the 8oz variety of the older cup design that is for parks where by law they had to offer a 8oz cup for free water. Carowinds is one of those that had these in certain food places, but they are also phasing these out for the newer cup design.

Six flags just introduced a new cup design this season for the drink plans, which are the same size as the older design. It’s likely they’re trying to push through this stock before getting into the newer cup stock.

They’re also doing some sort of “free soft drink” summer promotion with Coca-Cola that’s separate from the all-season drink plan. Maybe that promotion uses a smaller cup and some poorly trained employee gave you the wrong cup?

The guy that sends out detailed notices of if the park will be open every fifteen minutes is also the guy who knows how to cook the brisket. Sorry, you have to pick one.
I get it. You have to defend Kings Dominion at every turn because it’s the only park your mommy and daddy can drive you to.

One thing for certain this park has some the nastiest fans possible Absolute horrible people that attack someone if they don’t agree with them

My mommy and daddy certainly drove me to Kings Dominion when I first went 48 years ago. But ok.

I get it. You have to have something to complain about, either as a cry for attention or because you're just a miserable human being. Maybe your mommy and daddy didn’t drive you to an amusement park enough. Maybe they told you it was closed due to bad weather instead of taking you. Who knows? What I do know is that you beating that dead horse has turned into a joke, and damn right I'm gonna make fun of it. It's a failing I have. But, happily, one you don't have to worry about anymore! Back to the ignore list. Bye!

Whoever was cooking at Firehouse yesterday needs a promotion or should go open their own restaurant. The brisket and potatoes were absolutely on point from both a seasoning and cooking standpoint. That brisket was absolutely melting in my mouth, but still had that bark on the exterior.

Make sure to tell the park! Contact Us | Kings Dominion & Soak City

They emailed me back within a week saying the employees I complemented were rewarded.

I had Firehouse a few weeks ago and Grain & Grill yesterday and both were as good as they’ve ever been. Whoever is running Food & Beverage at the park these days is doing a great job generally maintaining the food quality in the face of what I assume have been substantial budget cuts and staffing shortages (not to mention the loss of a park-level executive chef).

I had Firehouse back in May and even though they had run out of a couple of things (understandable as it was very late in the day), what we ended up getting was very good. It was nice to not only have choices beyond the typical park burgers/pizza/chicken toes, it was food I would pit against the best bbq chains out there. Let's hope the park can continue have offerings like Firehouse and G&G.
