I was gonna say, looks pretty rough (Greasy)
I think they started on the tower prep 2-3 weeks ago. And the VA monsoon season started about the same time. Hard to de-grease in moderate to heavy rain. Probably going to need 3-4 dry days for the cleaning solution to be sprayed on and rinsed off to properly do its job. Since they need to start at the top and go down the tower, the base area and ride carriage is going to look pretty nasty for awhile.

I assume the re-painting has started? It looks like the top 3 segments have new paint as they are very glossy compared to the segments further down. I also noticed that 1-2 segments, right where the magnetic brakes start, have quite a bit of paint loss compared to the rest of the tower.

Using the catch car makes sense. I thought there was a small catwalk that either goes completely around it or at least on 2 sides of the catch car.

Are the brake fins getting a coat of paint as well? They had some pretty serious paint loss and rust spots.

the OG color combo is not my personal fav. (I would much rather Green and Gold or Orange and Blue) BUT anything is better then sludge brown

I personally think Drop Tower’s color scheme has always made it look like a giant cigarette. Really wish they had taken this opportunity to add some new color, especially green or red to tie in to CAG better.

If I'm not mistaken given the photo, there's a possibility to change colors here since all of the previous work was cleaning up the tower, so the paint we currently see could be painted over.

Anyone know if the new paint job looks like the old one or if they have given it a different scheme?

I drove by the park a few days ago. From what I could see from the outside, it's the same colors. It looks really bright and fresh though.
