Continuing with the same theme, Dino's Alive is listed as a 2018 pass benefit. So, once again, I believe we can surmise that it will survive another season. I guess rumors of is imminent demise are highly exaggerated.

It will come down at some point. Just a matter of time.

That'll make 7 seasons of robotic dinosaurs...

Personally, I'd like to see Dinosaurs Alive and Thunder Raceway eventually removed to put a nice flat in on the Old VA midway, give Grizzly an actual entrance plaza again, and leave the space where Dinosaurs Alive is open for an eventual coaster that could be seen from I-95.

I think their next coaster will come a lot sooner than the 8 year wait we just endured. Twisted Timbers isn't the investment that I305 was, and I remember reading somewhere that CF is focusing on their middle parks now, which probably means KD, CGA, and WOF mainly.

I saw those grand plans they had for CGA, but I thought Carowinds and Canada's Wonderland were the other two parks Cedar Fair was pouring money into.

That said, KD does get things first after CP - the giga, the AR game, the pre-K pass, the RMC conversion.

Cedar Fair isn't done with Carowinds. Ouimet has big plans for that park.

I wouldn't use that comparison since KD wasn't owned by Cedar Fair when they built Millennium Force.

the RMC conversion.

Hurler's RMC conversion was suppose to open this year but got pushed back for 2018. And it will open before Steel Vagina so Twisted Timbers will be the first RMC Conversion to open in the Cedar Fair chain.

Canada's Wonderland isn't really in the market for a coaster right now. They're focusing on making the park an actual resort currently. Carowinds will likely see a wait coaster-wise similar to KD after receiving Fury 325, although they will convert Vortex into a floorless.

Dinosaurs Alive is only half a tick better than the dinosaur place at Natural Bridge that has the dinosaurs fighting the Yankees...

Yesterday at ACE's Fall Thrillfest, Gary Chadwick confirmed that Dino's Alive is "extinct."  He also said that he thought that space could be used for a really cool attraction.  He did not, however, provide a timetable.  In fact, answering a different question, he said nothing is slated to be retired in 2018.  I can't say for certain whether he meant all attractions, or just coasters.

I am a little confused is it gone or is it going away?
Extint makes it sound gone but nothing is slated to close in 2018 makes me think maybe one more year.

Dinosaurs Alive will be at the park at least through 2018, as it is still advertised as a benefit for season passes and the pre-K pass.

Kings Island added Dinosaurs Alive in 2011 and 2017 was its last year there, so since KD added Dinosaurs Alive in 2012 it would make sense that 2018 is its last year.
