I see some people are sad that Delirium isn’t done for good after all. I get it, Delirium isn’t my favorite ride at KD either (although I find it enjoyable), but anyone hoping Delirium’s space would be vacated for another attraction anytime soon isn’t living in reality.

KD is dropping a boatload of money on Rapterra and presumably more 50th stuff next year. If past trends continue, 2026 will then be an off year. So the first year that anything could realistically replace Delirium is 2027. And if you’re hoping for a cool new coaster like Hangtime, that would probably take even longer — KD hasn’t opened two coasters within 3 years since Dominator and I305 in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

So, unless you want the center of CAG to sit lifeless for another 3 years — for a whopping total of 5 years — or more, I feel like disappointment that Delirium is coming back is an unrealistic reaction.

Also, don’t forget that the ride is only 8 years old. Even Mäch Tower lasted longer than that. And unlike MT, Delirium is at least a decent ride (the main complaint seemingly being its location, not the ride itself).

Adding to that don't forget that it has successfully operated during Winterfest including in temps that have shut down the coasters. KD doesn't have a ton of flat adult rides and losing even one hurts the event.

I think if they replace it it should be for new flat ride(s). I say that even though I can't ride most flat rides as they make me sick if they are the spinning type (including these pendulum rides). Though some I adore and can ride fine, including Arachnidia. Tumbili replaced a flat ride. It would hurt to remove another flat ride and replace it with a coaster again.

I’m glad it’s not dying and being removed I just think it’s extremely underwhelming, the ride cycle is short, and I hate the restraints. If it runs reliably again then great honestly it will be cool to notice on my walk between Jungle X and Timbers/Grizzly. That’s a net positive overall. If it was broke broke and unreliable routinely then yeah I’m going to bang the “remove” drum everytime.

Also @Mushroom You can just say me since I was the only person that replied with sad at the time of your post and you felt the need to suggest I wasn’t living in reality. When a flat ride is down for almost 2 full years it’s perfectly fine to want it replaced, especially if we are completely in the dark on the situation. I don’t really appreciate what feels like a direct shot at me since I’m the most vocally in favor of removing Delirium. If it reopens and is reliable. I will put my drum set away. I certainly hoped that this was going to lead to a better attraction on that land but it’s not and that hope is diminished and you seem to be piling on.

How on earth does that makes sense to suggest people don’t live in reality for speculating on a ride that was literally closed for two seasons? I think it’s quite reasonable to wonder at that point wtf is up with the ride and consider what may be in its future. It looks like a part repair that somehow took two YEARS was in its future.

Suggesting we don’t live in reality like we’re people talking about space lasers with apparent religious affiliations and making assumptions we expect them to remove it NOW (I certainly don’t) and replace it ASAP (like we’re unaware of Rapterras existence) is frankly not consistent with how this entire discussion has gone.

Was so nice to finally get to ride this over the weekend. Even the ops crew was chuckling about 2 long years and those "shiny looking restraints" that they couldn't tell us was the problem.

Really glad the doomers here didn't get their wish of a removal. 🙂

I wish I was excited about Delirium opening back up but unfortunately the last time I rode it back during the 2018 passholder preview day, I felt nauseous at the end of the ride. I feel like the older I get, the more I get motion sickness on spinning rides and flying coasters. Hell, I get dizzy just from wrapping up pallets at work. 😂

I would like to give this another shot as I really did enjoy it the first year it opened. I'm just afraid of having my day ruined by getting motion sickness.

Pro tip: Tilt your head backwards at the top of the swing. It makes the nausea even worse!
