Didn't think it was possible but the food just gets worse and worse. Dry potatoes, kraut dry sausage dry. And of course, no flavor. This place is a shadow of itself and really makes me miss the old days a strong culinary team.

That plate looks nauseating. I think I would have left it on the counter to be honest. 
The degradation in quality is best seen through these images. The Festhaus sampler used to be legit German, maybe not full blown authentic but acceptably close. Now it's a carnival's rendition after reading a children's book about German cuisine.
This is why I eat outside the park now these days
The F&B program is the worst place of cost cutting that SEAS has going on. A good F&B program can overcome certain updates that need to be done to where people eat.
Just taking FestHaus alone, I think other than better quality food some small things they can do is something like flash grill the sausages as needed. Intermix packaged potato’s with fresh cooked. Things like that.
I definitely think that (and this might get blowback) they need to close Festhaus for a month and completely renovate the kitchens and guest meal grab lines. That needs to be done.
God what I would give to see SEAS just take the next coaster budget (after the FHP) and put it to updating the F&B program.

I was with the kids at the table and my wife and her niece went up. If I had been there I would have walked away. It's really sad. That looks like one depressing meal. I wouldn’t even make it all the way through.
Judging by the murals of street buildings and the surrounding countryside, is Festhaus supposed to represent an outdoor venue that’s covered in tenting? Or is it all just decoration?
I hate to say it but I doubt it. This is becoming a regular site not only in Williamsburg but in Tampa and Orlando as well. It seems the United is more focused on a shiney new coaster rather than maintaining or cleaning up what they already have. I think budget cuts to and refusal to pay higher wages have also contributed.
For the record, the current pizza counter is going away and the existing space it occupies is going to be walled off and converted to a backstage kitchen.
The deed has been done.

Plans call for it to be fully integrated stylistically into the space. Fingers crossed.
Absolutely LOVE the new mural in Das Festhaus. Looks like they’ve included DarKastle, Verbolten, and Drachen Fire/BBW:TWR’s station and Drachen Fire’s maintenance bay!
