They need to be open at least one more weekday during the spring. The Fridays last year were always crazy, but never this crazy

Part of the issue was they were open all week during Hanover's Spring Break but THIS week is spring break for many of Virginia's schools and they are only open Friday-Sunday. This was poor planning from both a guests experience perspective and loss of business.

Who would work? College isn't finished yet and Hanover is in school this week.

They are open Fridays for the rest of Spring with Hannover in school on those days and college still in so they have some ability to staff one those days adding one or two days to this week even with limited staffing would be a huge improvement to thr current situation and likely a significant money generator.

Edit I just looked and Hanover has school today so the park is actually staffed and operating under the same constraints it would have been under the rest of the week.

Still is very busy. I still think the park should have been open last Saturday. They would have done so well.

So good to see the park killing it so far this year! Things need to improve operationally, yes, but I’m sure the park is seeing this and is trying to react the best they can going forward. I at-least hope so. KD needs a huge year and so far things seem to project that way. I’m so excited for what the 50th celebration will do for the park.

Employees today have been nothing but fantastic. Crews are hustling across the park. Huge shoutout to all employees kicking ass so we can enjoy the park.

Crowds werent bad at all today. The longest line was Twisted Timbers, which was on 1 train ops. Rapterra was about 20-30 minutes.

I have a chance to visit tomorrow, Friday 5/2, or the next day, Saturday 5/3. Friday appears to be Cheer Day with odd hours (9-6), while Saturday is just a normal Saturday in early May. Are the cheer crowds something to be concerned about? Or will they be tied up with cheer activities enough to keep the lines reasonable?

No exaggeration here, I counted 97 buses in the lot. That doesn’t count the small ones. Very very very busy yall! Rapterra out of entrance, many others as well. You’ve been warned.

Yeah I was about to head up to the park. Checked queue-times NOPE.

Just waited in the line for Rapterra and it was about 90 minutes through the full queue. Went down for about 15 minutes due to the exit gate faulting out, but that was enough to clear out the queue, so when I got out of line it was over about at the caldera.

Today looks to also be the “soft open” of A Golden Summerbration (specifically the Clown Band and the Light the Night show), so there’s that.

I drove through the parking booths and quickly left the park. "Shit ton of busses" + many, many cars in the lot.

I’m leaving now. I rode Rapterra twice and walked to Timbers but the idea of standing in a line of school groups again made me hate my existence so I am now leaving.

I was planning on going after work today, but I saw a picture of how long Rapterra's line was and said no thanks. I'm off next Thursday and Friday so hopefully it will be a better time to visit then.

Rapterra is probably a 20 minute wait. (At least when I just rode it 15 minutes ago)

Yeah I actually did not think Rapterras line was that bad but there was this issue where the left side line was WAY longer than the right side and I got stuck in the tunnel surrounded by teens

Ah I gotcha, that's not terrible. The picture I saw was posted around noon time so it may have been when everyone got in. Then again I do feel like Rapterra also has the best operations so far so the line moves pretty quick.
