I see it more of a light tan than white. But still I think they didn't need to repaint it either way.

I have no idea why they would paint it. Wouldn't it look more rustic and authentic to be left in the original colors? I haven't seen many pirate legends of scalawags riding on white painted wagons.

I believe they ride on them while drinking their fruity "rum" drinks.

I just gotta say the pirate that was near me and CK wasn't too happy about him taking the picture. He yelled at us saying it wasn't a photo op and they hadn't had all day. WIth that, he did it in character very well and I applaud his actions as he startled me great when he first walked up to us.

Arg, the chickens be the kids of Commodore Squawkers! (i work on the maze, and me and a few other employees nicknamed the chickens squawkers. ) Also, I would like to say thank you for your reviews. Your comments have really helped us feel more confident about what were doing!

I've started naming rooms by what stupid things are hanging down. Like "scary flashy light room", "scary PVC pipe room" and "scary S&M chain room". My son thought it was funny to wind the chains around his arms and then nearly ripped himself apart because they hooked together.

The bungy guy is REALLY GOOD. He was like so close to my son, that my son could feel the air move. But didn't hit him.

I'll try this one again in a couple weeks, maybe it will have enough scare actors then.

And once again, too many monsters saying "get out", or making one-word startles. Make a character guys. Engage the guests. Creep them out. Ask us to stay instead of going. Remember, they can do pop-up scares with animatronics -- live people can interact.
Well, I know for sure us cutthroat cove pirates ARRRR calling the strobe light room, Seizure Procedure. As for the get out thing, I have partaken in this and I'm not proud. But, after so many scares you feel exhausted and your voice goes hoarse from all the yelling and screaming, sometimes it's hard to keep a character going. I try and make a rule of thumb that if you say keep going, or get out, say in character.

I wouldn't post identifying info here. Job security and such... Not sure what BG's social media policy is on that. You guys are doing good there though, just need more of yous.

The "steps" or whatever that some have mentioned are a funny thing. Last weekend during the dark I had no problem. Recently during the daylight I got caught like three times. What purpose do these things serve? Are they intended to be a little porch or something. Are we actually "stepping up" a bit for the rooms? I don' think they were elevated or anything. Maybe they were just for looks. I dunno. Maybe they are put there to intentionally make you trip so then you are distracted and a scallywag comes and scares you with a mighty AAaaaaaaarrrrrrrrr!!

Hey guys! I went through this maze today, and I was actually impressed with what they did with very little money and essentially all reused props. I thought the theming was REALLY well done. I did get a couple jumps in, but not a ton like I did in some of the others. There was a point toward the end when a Team member stopped us right outside of the Captain's Quarters. When we went in there there were no actors, so I'm assuming one of them was injured or abused by a guest. Other than that, I quite enjoyed it. Not the best, but I think by the end of the season it'll pretty banging.

I really loved this maze. We went through at dusk, and combined with the fog, the atmosphere was awesome. Was it as scary as other houses? Obviously not, but I like a variety of experiences and this maze hit "cool" right on the head for me. I thought the decor was great. I have mixed feelings about the strobes. It was a bit like the claustrophobia balloon things: I was forced to interact more with my surroundings.

Actually, I thought the entire Ports of Skulls area was great. Once again, not traditionally scary, but the actors were really into it. The bungee was great. The theming was cool. I just enjoyed the atmosphere overall. In fact, it was the only place I felt motivated to shop.

While sitting at the Festa Train Station, a group of about 20 pirates crosses in front of us. I didn't get my camera ready in time to catch everyone in a picture, but let me say that the sight of all of that "Aaaaaarrrrrrrr!!!!" was IMPRESSIVE; especially the ones with swords. It was very intimidating. It was around 5:15pm, so I guess they were getting staged for the maze and whatnot.

Those are actually really motivated pirates. They really get into character before working.
