RE: Cut Throat Cove (2013 to Present)

I assumed they do the crisscrossing pathways becaude they use the same queue line for Fear Fair, but the entrance and exit were reversed. Makes me wonder if they had a larger holding point, the crisscross paths shouldn't be as big of an issue.

I think they had to do that because they use the roman rapids queue for longer lines and the entrance to the maze is on the right instead of the left. I wonder if they started to make the maze before they thought about the line. It's not too crazy of a thing though. Quick queue enters on the right, and then merges with the regular line at the crossover. I remember them doing this a few years ago.

Wasn't Cursed reversed in 2010 and given a similar setup? I seriously don't think it's much of an issue in all honesty.

Awwww the video is private. ):

I can't remember what side Cursed was on. But they should probably stick to one side or another, as far as the line goes.

RE: Cut Throat Cove (2013 to Present)

As far as the queue goes, Cursed started out the same way with the criss crossing. Then when Fear Fair was introduced they changed it to how it normally should be, straightforward.

It's to make all of the folks from countries where they drive backwards happy. Then they throw out a curve-ball to them and make the right-sided drivers of the world happy. Then everyone meets in the middle somewhere. It's a social thing. Get to know your neighbors in the crossover.

EDIT:

And if you are a Quick Queuer, it's like riding a bicycle on a busy highway near the mall. look out!!

For anyone who didn't see the park's video before they pulled it the first time, it's back up for the time being.

Also, they're not all the best pictures ever but...

RE: Cut Throat Cove (2013 to Present)

I went through Cut Throat Cove last night. The criss cross queue line has been in effect a few times for this location. Don't know why. I liked the maze for the most part the strobe lights were kinda dumb without being a distraction to be scared. They were heavily used in the mazes this year. I didn't get to stop and take a look at everything but I did notice near the end in one room that there was a barrel painted on the wall instead of an actual barrel being there. And the door that led out of the room, the wall was painted with skulls and such, it made it look like a stage backdrop. Why not use actual props instead of paintings? It looked cheap. I don't think I've ever seen a painting replace an actual prop.

There weren't a lot of scarers. But eh, seems to be the way it is lately. It doesn't help so many go on break at the same times. I liked the theming, I think it's a tie between Fear Fair and this maze but not really scary :/

Those "steps up" in the maze seem like a bad idea to me. I know I almost tripped on a couple of them.

Well, I'd say that any landlubber who posts in this here thread and doesn't include at least one pirate refARRRence should be made to walk the plank. All in favor can say "Aye Captain" by hitting that there thanks button.

This may or may not be a plot to garner more thanks for my already vast collection.
