Why the hate? Do you find it boring? Is it a perceived longer wait as some other comments in this thread suggest?

I thought the  was enough to signify the sarcasm there, since they just changed it back to the original way. We really need a sarcasm emoticon.

Oh my bad, sorry! I thought it was a "don't blame me for having a differing opinion!"

I'm glad it was good for you because for me it was awful. the first room had a projector busted. The whole ride seemed a bit off sync with the audio. but the fire place was working. Nothing really going on in the area after that.
Same here. 3 of the rooms for us didn't project anything. And I couldn't tell if at one point we sat still for way too long. I don't remember that before. Fireplace did not work for us either. When we got off we told the attendant and they just let us go through the curtain and get on again. However, I do like keeping the doors closed for the pre-ride show. It gives me the feeling that the ride "starts" sooner because you are involved with the story more direct and are not just thinking about how long you are standing around.Hope they can fix the technical stuff going on because in general this is a good ride for the park, I think it interests the GP a lot.

I don't remember feeling any "warmth" when heading through the "fireplace" this year.

The pre-show is broken. Doors should be fixed within the next few weeks.

Uh-oh... So, I'm assuming the doors won't open/close?

I hope they sort it out because I'd love to see it in full working order when I'm out there in May/June. That said, Darkastle is pretty fab regardless. Dunno if you guys know how lucky you are to have something of that quality. :p

It's true. By its nature it gets pretty repetitive for the people who go to the park a lot and we tend to take it for granted. It's amazing that a ride like that was built at what was then a very regional park.

It'll be interesting to see how long the new effects stick around, especially seeing that time for maintenance was the issue. With an extended operating schedule in 2013, they'll have even less time.
