I was there last night. I think it was one of those days where they had to start parking Scotland because the daytime crowds had not yet left the other lots as the HOS crowd was arriving. Once inside the park, there were a good amount of people leaving so I imagine it balanced out a bit. Crowds were not as bad as I had expected, 20~ minute maze wait times and 30-45-60~ wait times for coasters. We managed to do almost everything we wanted to do and left before closing.Saw a report that they are parking people in Scotland. I’d run far away.
No. We are here and waiting in a ridiculous line since 1:30 to park. Heard people talking about how backed up it is on 64.
To clarify my poor worded statement above, we waited in a long parking line at 1:30 to only arrive in the park after 2:30 and it only got more and more crowded. There will be lots of negative reviews incoming as attendance is vast and not everything open. Highly recommend members to not come…No. We are here and waiting in a ridiculous line since 1:30 to park. Heard people talking about how backed up it is on 64.
A friend who works there said they hit capacity at 3:00 that might be a record. We left at 3:45. In 48 years I have never seen crowds like we were seeing tonight as we left. They had stopped people at the metal detectors and weren't letting them go any further. I don't know if they had reached capacity or what the problem was. At 3:45 the overflow lot was over half full. It's just not fun when it gets this bad. I can only imagine what the food lines must be like about now. Even leaving the park was difficult. The crowd had completely blocked the sidewalk from the metal detectors to the bathrooms at the top of the hill. Saying excuse me to try to get through made no difference. Nobody gave an inch. We just had to force our way through to get out. I honestly wasn't expecting that many people on a weeknight.
Aren't there any restrictions on capacity so the park doesn't get too crowded? It sounds crazy there right now.A friend who works there said they hit capacity at 3:00 that might be a record.
There are that is why there was the description of them not letting guests past security. Once they reach a certain ticket number scanned they stop new entrances till they have a certain number exit.Aren't there any restrictions on capacity so the park doesn't get too crowded? Hmm, I meant that I thought they would do something like restrict the amount of tickets that can be purchased to manage crowds. Isn't it only logical? There are that is why there was the description of them not letting guests past security. Once they reach a certain ticket number scanned they stop new entrances till they have a certain number exit.
I guess my question is, how would they know when you leave? I wasn't scanned going out. I don't recall ever being scanned when leaving the park.
