Crazy at the park already today. A ton of school groups. There were over 30 buses in the England lot by 9:30....

Typical Saturday at the park this time of year. And it's gonna get worse especially next month and early June.

Yep, I know. Just giving an update of current park conditions. We arrived right at 9:30 and came in through the employee entrance. We were directed to France to park. I was disappointed because I like England but once we drove by, omg.... it was already stacked with buses. And more were coming in! There were a lot of groups in the park. We were on Apollo’s at noon and there were still buses stacked up coming in. I find it odd that some buses use the employee entrance and some use the main entrance.... probably a discussion for someone who knows more about park ops than me. It was busy today. Couldn’t have asked for better weather.

Took some out-of-town guests to the park one May Saturday and when we got there at 8:45 a.m. (early yes but we dropped off a friend that had to be at work in Oktoberfest Games by 9:30 a.m.) the entire England lot was full of buses.  After that they were directing any new bus arrivals to park in Scotland.  Was able to get a good spot in France though but we ended up leaving around 3 p.m. because the park was too crowded.

Went to the park yesterday, Sunday Apr. 29, to use the extra BaF passes that were loaded for April. There was a large crowd around Zone B but they seemed to have some employees there walking around trying to help people that couldn't figure out the free ticket thing. There were a lot of families with young children there so any areas for young children were fairly crowded but the rest of the park was overall pleasant. Attendance was low enough that they only parked people in Italy and Ireland, never opened Germany lot.

If anyone was wondering what was going on with the buses and crowds this weekend, BGW held a music fest with over 50 high schools and there was a large travel volleyball toruny in Williamsburg that got discounted BG tickets.

*Side note: Has anyone experienced problems with employees not letting kids on ride for height even though they have the appropriate color band? Just another issue I had at the park this weekend. Not the best experience I've had at BG.

The parking lot is full of buses.

That said, no one except high school bands appears to be here, so it isn't as crowded as it could be.

I just saw someone write on Facebook that the projection is 24,000. That number sounds very low for a day like this, so I'm a bit skeptical.

We just arrived and are eating a Nessie donut. We have seen a constant stream of people, since we got here. It looks as if it is going to be a fairly heavy day.

I guess this is because of the weather and cheap ticket offers.
