Where is your peer-reviewed scientific proof that the vaccine is killing anyone?

Also, people getting sick from vaccinations is actually kinda normal in general - the 'sickness' can vary per individual but ultimately is the body's immune system learning to recognize the virus so it can destroy it. Source: https://www.hhs.gov/immunization/basics/safety/side-effects/index.html

I can't speak for everyone, but anti-vaxxers don't cause panic or fear, but heavy concern and frustration.

I may not convince you since you seem set in your way here, but with vaccinations (which contrary to conspiracy theories was rigorously tested and used medical science knowledge from previous breakthroughs) there is a chance of eradicating this virus.

Problem is when people start using flawed logic that means we're in this limbo state for potentially ever.

I don't know about you, but I'd much rather not hear about an unvaccinated individual visiting a park and potentially being the cause of viral spread - something that the previously enforced mask and distancing rules helped to mitigate.
Pro vaxxers cause heavy concern for buying into something and pushing something so hard that is very very new and very very suspect .. the vaccine has killed several , so do your research and if your so scared to be around people then just stay home please

Are all the rides open? The website says temp and Nessie aren’t, but some previous posts say they are. Also, Vaccines and religion

At least this weekend, the park was running Nessie and Tempesto, with Finnegan’s not operating. Are those two things related? Maybe! We’ll see what happens next weekend, basically.

FYI - Here is the CDC link where deaths are referenced...

And as far as vaccine side effects are concerned, the VAERS zip file for 2021 is nearly 4X larger than each of the past few years, and we aren't even halfway through 2021...

Given it’s a crowdsourced collection of self-reported side effects at a time when like 150 million people are being vaccinated, the VOLUME of reports is not a meaningful statistic.

Today I was lucky enough to go to Busch Gardens Williamsburg on the first day that the park has lifted their mask mandate for those who have been fully vaccinated. I did not see any signs or announcements saying anything about vaccinations and it was the same social distancing and mask signs however when we got to the parking toll plaza, we have received a piece of paper saying about the new mask mandate as well as it being on the website. 95% of the crowd today knew about the mask mandate as they were not wearing masks at all and I was one of the only people that had a mascon in the whole park today. There are still multiple people wearing masks and all of the employees and ambassadors were wearing masks as well so kudos to them. I never think that they are doing is that they are splitting parties for single riders which means that other party sat next to each other on rides and each person no longer got their own row. There is still hand sanitizer for those and they were encouraging people to put it on. And overall, the park felt like pre-Covid as it was absolutely slammed and nobody was social distancing at all in every single line that existed in the park today. The Park starting to get very busy around me and when I we’re on Apollo, we saw a backup of cars coming off of I 64 but the park was not even near as close as Busy as what Kings Dominion was today during your passholder preview event. Anyways I just want to form you guys about what the new Covid rules are at and I am very pleased and proud that the parks are starting to get back to normal again.

You're simply wrong. The data does no bare out your claim at all.

The AP article just proves my point. Christians are FAR more likely to be hesitant to get a vaccine than non-Christians.

But in an attempt to steer back into a more at hand topic. Is BGW staffing issues caused mainly by their inability to bring in overseas seasonal workers for cheap? Do we think that staffing levels will shoot up once High school is out for the summer?

Considering KD seemed well staffed for their preview opening, I would guess either BGW is trying to hire on the cheap or their HR is really screwed up. Honestly after seeing KD operate so well on their first day, BGW's performance lately is just inexcusable.

The information in your link states that there is no link between the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and deaths.
The J&J vaccine may have caused up to 3 deaths out of almost 9 million vaccinated.

"A review of available clinical information, including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records has not established a causal link to COVID-19 vaccines. However, recent reports indicate a plausible causal relationship between the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine and a rare and serious adverse event—blood clots with low platelets—which has caused deaths."

You implied everyone who doesn't want to get a vaccine identifies as Christian. You were incorrect.

BGW and KD really don't share an employment pool. KD's spin-up is very admirable, don't get me wrong, but to pretend that the environmental factors are identical between BGW and KD isn't reasonable.

This is especially true given that BGW has fairly successfully staffed up a whole additional park (WCUSA) while KD had to pull the emergency brakes on their spin-up of Soak City despite it being notably less staffing intensive than WCUSA.

I personally think holding off 2 more weeks to open up the waterpark would have been completely fine and they should focus on the dry section first. Where I'm from, water park employees that were able to start working early prior to regular opening of the water park would work the dry park to fill staffing needs until the younger/summer help was available for games/food/parking ect... Basically people could fill any position quickly with the exception of rides. A memorial day opening would have been fine for WCUSA.

The starting rate for a summer job is crazy good and I can't believe younger people aren't jumping at this. I was paid below minimum wage when i worked for "fun" at Kennywood in PA.

Tbh I don't work a job that I could go work for a park for fun, but I've always had a desire to be the guy hitting the buttons even if it's possibly a mostly repetitive job that deals with the public.

Per the previously mentioned gig jobs, it's conceivable that people could work a job like this on top of driving, streaming, etc and get some of the perks of the job. Of course, not everyone is as enthusiastic for that idea as I would be.

Went yesterday as well, coasters were all open and realistically I didn't think there were out of the ordinary lines at all. Didnt ride Invadr and only got one ride on Verbolten but those lines seemed longest. Alpie was nearly a station wait for the 3 rides I got on it (max 15 mins). Apollos went down a couple times it seemed like but still it didn't seem like lines were abnormally long. Maybe I just got lucky compared to what others have been saying. Food lines were probably the longest we had to wait. Probably about 50/50 mask / no mask, slightly leaning towards majority no mask. Very few people actually abiding by social distancing markers in queues. I am fully vaccinated and was one of the people not masking up, unless out of respect in queue lines. However, it is crazy to me that people still can't properly social distance in queue lines. It doesn't make the line any faster and you get to breath down someone's neck... What's the point of riding on their ass?

All in all though, in terms of ride lines I didn't see any of the issues others are pointing out. I'd love to see what the true percentage of vaccinated people not wearing masks at the park is... Probably wouldn't look very good.

If I had to guess it's the same mentality as the people who race down the queue line. I'll admit I used to do that as a kid, something about wanting to get on the next ride as fast as possible though my running would not make any real difference most of the time with exception to the one random time the ops were holding the train because they saw us rolling through to the station (no line).

I'm hoping to see people being honest and minding peoples personal space when I go in June. If someone wants to wear a mask, I don't care. I've always questioned masks in outdoor settings, but ultimately I don't care what others do. I am absolutely torn with my kids though. I don't want to see employees coming down hard on parents. My youngest doesn't have to wear mask while in school, but we do put one on when out in public usually. I am less inclined to force my kids to have them on in outdoor settings.

This guy in the first part of the article goes extreme even though he contracted covid while doing all of his extra precautions. Most people I know that contracted it got it while taking reasonable precautions.

I need to get one of those shirts like the bumper sticker that says "If youre gonna ride my ass at least pull my hair"
