Yeah when I got my vaccine they didn’t “check out any vials or write anything down, they only wrote on my card, and even then it’s just one lot number, which I can guarantee isn’t unique to me, because other relatives have the same lot number.
Exactly, now they may be better tracking it but at least in the beginning it was the wild west. I know local hospitals were estimating how many doses they needed for staff for that day. Then at the end of the day is they over estimated they were calling around to find people to give it to so they didn’t get poped for wasting vaccines. There was little if any paperwork other than that card. In addition at first that card was only meant to be a reminder for when you should get the second dose and what the first dose you got was. It was never meant as a long term medical document.

Wrong…..we were among the very first to be offered vaccines. The day that happened a coworker had to wash their contaminated uniform. They didn’t realize untill the end of the drying cycle when everything was covered in shreds of paper they had washed it. This was even before they had provided a copy to the employer and last I heard they still hadn’t figured out what to do because the local health dept said there is no way to get another or replacement card.

I am not sure where you are from and how your local health department operates, but in Virginia it's really not that hard.
I just logged into my VAMS account and have all the vaccination info right there and an option to print out a certificate.

Can't be that hard to get one of the vaccination providers or my POC to fill out another card if I really needed to.

Interesting website...how do you get a account for that? I dont see a place to create a account or where I create a login or password.

The CDC was sending out emails with a registration link. When I was eligible it was a requirement to register through them. I assumed everyone is in their database.

But now that I think about it I guess early phases and later phases probably do not have an account set-up.

Whoever the provider for the vaccine was should have reported the vaccination details though and have them on file.
They have to be able to retrieve the information somehow.

You’d think so, but usually finds a way to not do what’s expected

Yea when I could have first recieved it it was go to this location and get it. That was long before they set up vaccination clinics, or you could get it at Walgreens and places like that.

Yeah, I didn’t get any message of any kind to register for anything. My place just said that never ever lose the card or else you’ll have to get vaccinated again, which to me sounds like there’s no backup

Yea, basically the same here other than they didnt know what to do if you lose it if you could be vaccinated again or if they come out with boosters to prove what you got the first time.

Though I can't find any direct sources, I've heard that our governor is considering allowing the state of emergency orders for the pandemic to expire by 6/30 - if this were to happen, we can widely speculate what the park will look like on 7/1 and onwards.

He actually talked about removing everything but mask mandates possibly as early June 15th but it will all depend on how the numbers look coming off memorial day.

Yeah, it was a press conference but I didn't find the actual documentation on it
We look to be on a good trend but I’m sure the Memorial Day numbers will barely tick up so it will cancel everything for another 2 months. Especially since the cdc said vax people don’t need masks anywhere

Kennywood has now joined the club. No masks/distancing effective immediately for those who are vaxed. Unvaxed still have to wear a mask and social distance.

Again, no info on how they are "policing" it (much like Hersheypark); my assumption is they're just not, and letting people take personal responsibility.

Question for you Virginians; can a private company (like BGW) make their own policies, or are all businesses in your state mandated to follow whatever restrictions the governor puts into place?

The state's announcement is clear that businesses are still ABLE to make their own policies related to masks.

The question right now is whether SEAS wants to make that call. We know Cedar Fair will (because they already went to "outdoor only" in the other states where they're operating), but I don't believe any of the SEAS parks had made any moves on COVID restrictions last I checked.
