I know this has been talked about ad nauseum but I'm going to ask anyway. First an explanation. DW and I have not been into the park since December 2019. DW has an illness that scared us from going anywhere. Anyway, we will reach our 2 weeks from the second vaccination this Saturday. I have reservations for the 17th. It has been so long since we were there that a couple of questions are stirring around in my head. Yeah, a lot of empty space in there. We have/had the permanent plastic type of membership passes. Are they still good or do we need to print new passes for 2021? The other question would be we had paid for the dining plan in December 2019 to use during the 2020 season. Is that still going to be good? I know with the limited capacity it doesn't make much difference but did that upgrade offer they made last year still be in effect. I don't even remember what the benefits were. I know the Brauhaus is open but are they actually filling the steins and are they still $5? Sorry to interrupt the conversation but just wondering.

My hard plastic pass card has never stopped working since I first got it. That said, I pay monthly. It really comes down to whether your account number/bar code has changed. You should be able to check that online.

The all-year meal plan from 2019 has just been turned back on. So, yes, you can use it again. That said, there were some system problems on Sunday. I'm not sure if they have fixed those, but regardless you are entitled to the benefit still.

They are offering the Pint and Stein Clubs again, so I think those are back up and running?

I don't think we still get the upgraded benefits, but I wouldn't swear to it one way or another. @Zachary might know?

I hope this helps?

Thanks Nicole. I also pay monthly. Never stopped. So, what do you do when/if they refuse to recognize the meal plan? Pay? Don't really care about the upgraded benefits. Don't remember what they were anyway. The only one that remotely interested me was the parking. Until things return to some form of normalcy I don't think parking was an issue.

Just looking forward to getting out and going back to the park. It has been a really long year for us. Might not be like the old days but just the change od scenery and getting out of the house is going to be worth it all to us.

When mine failed at Les Frites, they didn't make me pay. They told me to go to Guest Services to figure out what was wrong. I decided to wait, because a friend had the same problem, so I thought is might have been a system problem and not a me problem. If it doesn't work again next weekend, I plan to go ask about it.

Reports suggest that despite some language in a September email that clearly linked the extension of memberships into 2021 and the tier upgrades announced for the 2020 “season,” and the fact my member tier was still upgraded during my Winter Weekend/Mardi Gras visits, at some point in the intervening month they clawed back the upgrades.

I have been using my all season dining the past few weekends (Saturdays) at the Festhaus, the brezel place and Marco Polo's without issues.
Haven't tried Les Frites yet, so maybe it's specific to that location?

No idea. two out of the three of us had problems at Les Frites. There has been a pattern from the beginning of people having random problems with the all year dining and drinks. I don't think their system is really designed for the program. It could be a me problem, regardless.

Will the all-season dining work for non-entrees at those locations? I always understood it to only be operational at the primary dining establishments.

They appear to have removed the all-season dining symbols from the menus. So, it isn't entirely clear what is included anymore. It used to be entrees, but it did work at Les Frites.

I so far did not try any non-entree items.
I would assume that even without the labels on the menu the programming behind which items are eligible is still in place.

Les Frites was on the list of locations included in all-season dining

So first this is simply my opinion and I have heard nothing to back this up. I think we will see three ride that will not open this year.

First BFU I think this is the most obvious and that why it wouldn't operate under the current situation.

Next Land of the Dragons. Just to many touch points that can't be cleaned and little to no ability to enforce mask wearing among the kids once they are in.

Finally Escape From Pompeii. I love water rides but I not going to ride one if I got to wear a mask. And unlike Le Scoot and Roman Rapids I think the cost of running it makes it unrealistic to run it one group to a boat and allow for mask to be removed while away from the station. With that all taken into account I see it likely that it stays shuttered for another year.

Again these are solely my views with no evidence to back them up.

I don't see an issue with wearing a mask on Pompeii.
I was riding Le Scoot several times in a row in the rain with a mask on last fall.
I don't think Pompeii could make you wet enough for serious issues with the mask.

Has L'Aeronaut Skyride been running at all? I haven't been since the Fall, but don't recall seeing it running then either. Not sure how well COVID related things would work with it.
