There you go. Turns out my initial source was correct.
As always

Yea, the ones making good money to start with keeps getting paid while the seasonal hourly folks get nada......Also good on SEAS for paying the full time TMs throughout the closure.
From what I understand closing from Monday on was a corporate decision and they sent out the first notice. Every park was given the option of closing immediately and BGW and SPL are the only parks not currently open and BGW made the decision that it didn't make sense to open for 2 days just to close for 2 weeks.Thank goodness!
I wonder if BGW’s first announcement was a mistake? Did they accidentally tweet out Tampa’s statement?

Nah, the controlling computers will probably get a virus...hot take: park will open up with pantheon

Not going to lie, I’m bummed I can’t go tomorrow. Maybe not the smartest move in light of everything, but I’m the type of person who has a hard time fighting off existential dread and depression if I can’t do fun things.
Also, if you’re the type of person who harasses other people for wanting to do fun things during these shitty times, and you know who you are, fuck off.
As long as essential includes the ride manufacturing employees and park engineering staff..hot take: park will open up with pantheon
That’s not quite how mental health works, but thanks for playing.
The state does them in January/February. Pantheon will be the only ride that hasn't been inspected yet. And ride operators are not required to be licensed by the state. The park does certifications for safety and legal reasons, which most team members would have been certified at their rides last weekend. What are the JCC/VA yearly ride certification requirements? Does the ride have to cycle without significant faults a certain amount of time? I would assume there's some kind of safety inspection, but are there also certifications needed for ride ops as well?
Additionally, would all rides usually have their certifications by now, or are they usually staggered?
Finally, does the shutdown have any effect on the process of actually getting these rides certified to open?
I don't know that they all make good money. There a lot of people at BGW who are full time with benefits because of the hours they work during the operating season. I think you would be surprised at how many employees at BGW are full time. That doesn't mean they work 40 hours all year just that their hours worked over average over 32 hours a weekYea, the ones making good money to start with keeps getting paid while the seasonal hourly folks get nada......
