Here’s the full text of the new Executive Order set to begin on Friday, and it does include Williamsburg and James City County. Though, from the looks of this thread it seems that things might still be moving forward at BGW. Am I correct to assume this?

I have been looking for this all day so thank you so much for finding it!
Furthermore, when looking at the original phase 3 order, amusement parks had their own separate section altogether from the social gatherings section. And being that no such section exists in this new order, that the amusement parks are not affected by this new order.

I have no reason to doubt you, but the park has some holes in that logic, which makes it confusing to the rest of us.

Rhinefeld and Oktoberfest are both part of the country of Germany. San Marco and Festa are both part of Italy. Aquitaine is in France, while New France is in Canada. They aren’t even on the same continent.

To make it even more confusing the park generally refers to Festa and Italy as two different areas. Some of this depends on the department but generally when an employees refers to France they are referring to both France and New France. It's the same with Germany and Oktoberfest

That's what I was thinking too.

I think the telling thing about any reopening is what we hear on the earnings calls in the next few weeks. I went to SWO, BGT, Aquatica and Universal in Florida 6/18-6/21 and again 7/24-7/27, and the parks were absolute ghost towns on my second visit. Beyond the first couple of weeks after reopening, I don't think anyone will have a problem getting a reservation to BGW Lite.
BGW being more regional than the Florida parks shouldn't have as much an issue filling the park decently; assuming the 1,000 cap goes away at some point, since 1,000 is nothing to sell unless next to nothing is opened to justify a visit. For reference I've been to Hershey on three trips since they opened and every visit has been easily busy enough for the park to justify being open.

I believe this is due to the more regional nature of the park where guests are arriving by car, vice having to fly there. That makes a lot of guests more comfortable visiting since they don't have to get on a confined airplane and risk getting sick.

I don't think that BfE will be open. I was just listing off the attractions in the areas that will be open. It's my understanding that when you get to crossroads they will block of the path which means no Sesame or Pompeii.

I do think that New France is included in France. Generally speaking the park doesn't divide up it's areas in the same way that we do. Generally France and New France are a package like Germany and Oktoberfest.
No Sesame would mean there's almost no kids rides being opened except possibly the small ones in Scotland. That's going to be a big turnoff to guests with younger children as the kids will have nothing to do except walk around and look at the animals. It will definitely be off-putting for anyone who buys daily tickets or makes a trip for this to find out when they get there how little is there for their kids.

If they opened Italy instead of France, it creates a park experience for all guests and not just older ones under these limiting conditions.

Well the opening times I'm hearing are evening only so my guess is that they don't expect very many kids to be attending.

KD's Winterfest is evening only and they still open much of Planet Snoopy and other kid oriented attractions.

If the goal is to maximize ancillary revenue, then families with children are one of the better demographics to attract along with older guests and DINKs, vice say teens or college age kids who spend little beyond admission.

I thought I would be excited when the rumors started of BGW opening but now after what people are saying I'm more angered.

Less than half the park open, evening hours, no kid rides and continue to pay full price.

Of course the park could prove the internet rumor wrong but we'll see.

Honeslty, I'd prefer their rumored plan over no BGW at all.

Just from my experience when Universal CityWalk opened up back in May, I would prefer even if Busch just opened up the shops and restaurants over it being closed.
BGW and KD should have done this from the onset, even if they didn't charge for attendance or charged a nominal amount. It could have showed they could operate without being a COVID hotspot so they could work on getting the cap lifted.

While that on the surface makes sense, the problem is that for various purposes such as ABC licensure many of the food service locations count as a singular premise.

My guess is that they'd still be under the same restrictions if that's the correct interpretation - also, it's doubtful that they could both staff and stock the park appropriately as well as get guests to come without rides or shows unless they had pandemic friendly activities/attractions.

For ABC licensure it's actually the entire park as one premise. That's why you can carry be and alcohol around with you. There used to be a time where each country was it's own premise and your couldn't travel between them with alcohol.

For health inspections and food permits each stand and restaurant have their own permit.
