I would have to imagine that the state was given the plans prior to announcing. That being said, I can also see the state shitting down the park if enforcement is lacking.

Yeah those people are gonna be the ones ruining it for everyone else. If they can’t follow the restrictions than they can stay at home

The state only seems to be going after businesses that are blatantly violating masks indoors and social distancing. Considering this event is largely outdoors and BGW is going above the state requirements by requiring masks everywhere, it's unlikely they'd be forced closed.

If the Coasters and Craft Beers event works out for the park, I've been pondering what other events I would like to see them host this year. So, I thought I'd share my random ideas. I haven't fleshed them out very much, and I am sure they could all use some tweaking.

September: Oktoberfest. The have done this mini-event for a few years. They could keep the beer with fewer stations and add more German food kiosks. Hamlets: Banbury, San Marco, Festa, Oktoberfest, and Rhinefeld.

October: Howl-O-Scream. The event would have to reduced and modified dramatically, but they could have scare zones with a few actors, heavy theming, maybe the train, and one or two outside mazes with atmospheric actors. Hamlets: Banbury, Heatherdowns, Killarney, Wild Reserve, Aquitaine, and New France.

November: Harvest Festival. They could do a harvest themed food and wine event. Hamlets: Banbury, San Marco, Oktoberfest, Rhinefeld, New France.

December: Christmas Town. This would also have to be scaled back, but I think there is a great opportunity for shopping, food, and lights. I would love to see the Skyride operating and a full loop (Flight of Lights). Hamlets: Banbury, Scotland, Wild Reserve, Aquitaine, New France, Rhinefeld.
It would be nice to have some kind oh Halloween event but those events would already be staging now and with all of the Entertainment Department still furloughed it would be difficult.

In some ways SEAS is being held to a higher standard by their own design: the fact they're claiming to be safer than other leisure spaces (beaches, etc.) means that they might draw more enforcement simply to test their hubris. That said, tomorrow night is definitely going to be a significant test for both employees and guests.

Thus far Disney seems to be the only park that’s really making news in terms of policy and standards implementation. There might be some local piece about the requirements to go, but I doubt any traditional news organization will go in depth on this.

The state might pay attention, but there going to be looking at implementation of state orders and contact tracing if it comes down to it, not enforcing BGWs rules.

It’s likely Disney paid to be covered. On top of that they put out that weird ad, are the biggest park, and most recognizable park.

Keep in mind that there are essentially less than 10 companies that own the vast majority of the news media. It cerrtainly helps that Disney owns ABC and Universal's parent Comcast owns NBC. So it shouldn't be surprising to see more positive coverage of Disney and Universal in comparison to Six Flags, Seaworld, Merlin, Cedar Fair, etc.

I think when @Memles was referring to SEAS he wasn't referring to the entire chain but just to BGW and how they are pushing what their new guidelines are. They have had a lot of local articles and they have a lot riding in then being able to follow them

We saw those the other day ago though I forgot which thread - I couldn't see rides testing so was curious if you had a timestamp to look at?

Nessie is definitely having operating issues the let two people jump in the row behind me in the same car despite at least THREE empty cars because they wanted the back row.

Invadr's line is almost to the plaza not sure if that good or bad. Just saw a train go by looks like they are skipping a row.
