Yeah! I want in on the dream team! Can't wait to see how I can become a minion to your ideas. On the other hand, COS should be our park's private detective/ investigator because he always uncovers juicy info for us! :p

Sorry Cody, this your dream versus an actual plausible concept. I will be more than happy to step outside and not tear down your dreams.

Well I just wanted to let him know I wasn't going to try and contradict every decision he posts and that I wasn't going try to interfere with his dream.

Dreams are more or less concepts. He presented stuff that would change (not in high detail, but none-the-less presented changes.) in his vision. Besides all of our concepts are more or less dreams.

With that said, this discussion is fine where it is at.

I love this line of discussion. Why not right? :) Besides; museum curator sounds great to me! Oh- and as far as a rocking Gluten Free Menu... I've got you covered.

I have seen pics with Alpie in them which has the area flooded. Maybe the water rose too high sometimes?

Yes, I posted a video of Alpengeist in its thread (I don't know what page.:s) and it shows the water in that area. I honestly thought it looked cool. At least it's better than what we have now; dirt and mud.

I remember this too, from riding in the late 90s. I liked swooping down there just before the cobra roll element. It was always nice and cool right above the water.

Now... no water. Rocks.

Still water -> insects? Maybe birds were chilling in Alpengeist's path at the beginning of the day...?

Ahh! - Was this change made soon after Fabio murdered that goose with his face? Hmm!

Still water = insects?

I actually have interesting info about that. Now stick with me on this one, you won't believe it at first but give it some thought.

The park actually uses a bright blue chemical that they pour into the Rhine River. This chemical eventually mixes with the water and turns to the brilliant green we see. The reason the park uses these chemicals is because despite the name Rhine River, it is actually a still water lake. Due to the lack of flowing water these chemicals help to reduce the amount of insects living in the water. The chemical works by clouding the water.

These chemicals are totally eco-friendly so no worries there.

But to the point, no it couldn't be because of insects.

I answered the question regarding the color of the water already. Link to the thread is here: http://forum.parkfans.net/thread-2044.html

If you take the Rhine River cruise you will notice a water jet that shoots by the track on the Apollo's Chariot hill that drops by water. This scares away any birds in order to prevent another "Fabio" issue.

Regarding Alpengeist: My thought is the water was not lowered as much as the land was filled in higher when building Alpengeist. The Loch Ness footers look unchanged near the water line. I am sure there is some Engineering reason- perhaps to get a crane in. I'll look into it.

Does it look good? no. The lake water used to fill that whole area and it was beautiful. I wish they would just plant some landscape there instead; some small low growing plants. as Keeping anything maintained that close to the Alpengeist train path would be difficult so trees would not be the way to go.

A possible reason for leaving it open and barren is that few people wander down to the Rhine River and up the cardiac hill anyway. I would assume spending the money making this look tip top is not a priority.

I love everything here. I'm a bit sad to see LotD gone and an entire show based on Doctor Who seems a bit too extreme. I do like the idea of a TARDIS hopping around. I can just imagine looking up and seeing it on a rooftop or in the middle of the Clydesdale pen. The museum sounds really cool too!

P.S. Can I be the president of the Get-Into-the-Park-for-Free-Whenever-I-Want Committee?

Only problems I see are as follows

- Busch Gardens rings better than European Gardens, as does Howl-O-Scream. Changing them would be like changing Universal Studios to Universal's World of Movie Magic. Sometimes, less is more, especially with catchy names.

-the costume before HOS. This is a very bad idea...VERY bad. Within that first hour, alot of people go through the mazes and scare-zones/terror-tories. Having costume characters in the mix could be dangerous, as it A) could make it harder to spot them if they do cause harm to a scare actor, and B) they could easilly go run off, depending on the costume, and people would think theyre just an employee. I know employees are forced t wear the orange bracelets, but still, plenty of people could slip by security, especially during the height of the season.

other than that, I completely agree. A neat show, besides a doctor who show, would be to have a reduced version of the complete works of shakespeare abridged. It's a funny and family friendly show that makes shakespeare fun for all ages.

Complete Works Of William Shakespeare Abridged

As for the theming durng HOS, im both with you and against you. Sometimes, the best ideas are what nobody thinks of.As long as the mazes/overall hamlet theming is fun and visual pleasing, IDC

OK, this was all addressed. The costumed guest would be kids that have to leave before the Event starts. The renaming would be if I bought ONLY BGW. Thus I couldn't keep Busch Gardens or Howl-O-Scream.

I still think there is a better name than European Gardens...not trying to be that one person, but i tend to play devils advocate. :p Sorry.
