You should be able to do it from here:

Thank you I will b ef cancelling it some time this evening as my phone doesn't like BGW's site for some reason. I don't know how fast they update the reservation but I will post here when I do incase anyone is looking so that you get as much of a heads up as possible.

Does anyone know if they still have the Lorikeet Glen open or was that a one time thing like Le Scoot?

Still doesn't help the lack of balance for rides, but it might help the terribly slow lines at Invadr. Plus more options are generally better than less options.

The question is what they intend to accomplish here.

If they intend on expanding the event’s offering, that requires adding staff. And maybe the additional parking fee will let them do this, and that’s great, and you’d expect they would actively market the addition of Alpengeist to the lineup under that circumstance.

But if they don’t intend to add staff, I don’t know what the play is.

Should go the other way and open EfP and the flats in San Marco IMO - gives more moderate thrill options to families with younger kids.

Once they open the other half of the park, I expect you’ll see a more balanced offering in that way, although I expect we’ll see the same staff footprint so there will still be some choices to be made about which moderate rides to open between Italy/Germany.

But as for why they’d consider opening Alpengeist in this case, it’s because it’s the easiest without having to change the footprint of the event: all they have to do is open the bridge between Germany/New France and just install a barrier on the other side of it. Italy expands the footprint of the event in ways that would be more difficult to manage.

@Memles - totally understand why, and that barriers are easy assuming there's a door for the snack shop and the gates near the fountain are functional.

However, as awesome as Alpie is, I believe there's a lower height limit on the flats and other rides in the other direction (not opening Festa or even necessarily the pathway past DaVinci gardens towards Marco Polo's) even if EfP stays closed.

Also, I'm betting that it'd be easier to manage downtime with the flats since even if 1 of the 3 goes down guests can easily get in line for the others - if Alpie goes down then I guess they reopen Le Scoot, which then again could already be open if Invadr goes down.

I don’t think you could open all three flat rides, purely from a social distancing perspective—those queues are cramped, and I think they would all end up moving into the common area. I’m curious how the park manages some of those challenges if/when they switch over to the other side.

Fair point, though I'm guessing with the right temporary queues in place they could at least do the cradle and the battering ram... If battering ram breaks down then turn on the flying machine.

How much staff is needed to run each of those, and how many for Alpie? 2 for battering ram, 3 for DaVinci? Alpie needs a minimum of 3 but could go 5 without a batcher, thus upping to 4 or 6 respectively?

I dont really care whats open but they need to get their shit together and keep it consistant. Having various attractions open for diffrent days and or time slots is crap.

I agree they have provided what they advertise but when they add more for some sessions and people post online "this is open" many people think it will be open for them too. The hap hazzard opening and closing of attractions is confusing espically with the limited offerings for kids. Something like the flume if a family just runs across a facebook post of a friend riding the they go and its closed then yes the park is offering what they advertise but that family will be dissapointed.

I have reservations for this evening and am unable to go because of work requirements, but just got the weirdest note when I tried to cancel my reservation for the 5 pm session tonight...

"You are not able to rebook your reservations, because all of your reservations have already been scanned at the gate."

Totally agree here. Opening San Marco to accommodate more family rides sounds like too big of an undertaking.

But what about Forest of Fun? Whirley Worms, Prince Elmo’s Spire, and Bert and Ernie’s Loch Adventure each only require one operator, so they could open three new rides with just as many - if not fewer - operators than it would take to open Alpengeist. Plus, unlike Lil Clydes, those three rides can accommodate adults. This would dramatically expand the event’s offerings for families.

As a bonus, Forest of Fun is located barely beyond the existing barrier at the end of Scotland, and closing off the play areas shouldn’t be too hard. Adding the area wouldn’t be very challenging from a logistics perspective.

Of course, you won’t see me complaining about adding Alpie to the event. It’s very possible that the young family audience isn’t who the park is targeting with this event, and that adding a fourth coaster to an event literally called “Coasters and Brews” makes more sense. Plus, the world really needs our favorite “glacial with a facial” at a time like this.

I tried to cancel my 7 year olds reservation yesterday while I was at the park with my other 2 kids and got the same message. The little one didn't want to come.

At first I assumed its because I scanned the rest of us in at the gate, but she had her own separate reservation order for herself.
The system must be bugged to not allow cancelations, either in general or at least after the reserved session has started.
