I saw boats being removed or at least being moved somewhere, yesterday. They were being staged near the sawmill and being picked up. It did look like the flume was on and I did see a lot of employees moving around the entry area of Le Scoot. There may be some scaffolding surrounding some of the supports and flume as well, lessening the chances it will open this year. It would be nice if the park could add EfP or the flume to the event, but I imagine it has to be expensive to run and staff a water ride compared to a roller coaster or flat. When I was on Invadr today I noticed log floom had water running through it like it normally would if it was operating. thought that was kinda strange
They way the skyride system is designed they can't get rid of the Germany stop. The vehicle has to go the entire route. It would actually be nice if the just did away with the Germany stop.
The vehicle would but passengers would not have to disembark in Germany, much in the way the turning point operates at Busch Gardens Tampa. They way the skyride system is designed they can't get rid of the Germany stop. The vehicle has to go the entire route.
Someone with more knowledge is free to correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the sky ride require staff at each station to move the bucket from one end to the other? i think I recall some staff when it ran as around trip for Christmas town. The vehicle would but passengers would not have to disembark in Germany, much in the way the turning point operates at Busch Gardens Tampa.
That is correct. I would think that the train would require less staff.
Yes but I don't think that was what the original comment was suggesting. I read it as they wanted the park to change it to just run between the France and England stationsThe vehicle would but passengers would not have to disembark in Germany, much in the way the turning point operates at Busch Gardens Tampa.
5000 people in the entire park is practically empty. I mentioned it before but the HOS nights that people refer to as being very low attendance typically have more that 5000 people in attendance on those nights. I really think there's very few areas where it would be issues because there are a small number of choke points throughout the park where you have to move closer together.
When the park presented their original reopening plan to JCC they said that 5,000 would allow for spacing of 35 feet between each guest if every guest was on a path and evenly spaced. That was not taking shop, eating, areas, or ride lines into account just the total square footage of the public paths. given that math I feel quite safe that there would be adequate room to distance if they opened to 5,000.I realize this is true, and certainly 5000 people in the entire park is going to feel much less crowded than an average day at the park. I was at the park on one of the HOS Thursdays when Festa was closed, and most of the rides were a walk-on, but I wouldn't say that the park FELT empty, and I do think that there would be more concerns about safety even if there was a SENSE that the park was more crowded than it is. In other words, it's less a question of "is it possible to socially distance with 5000 people in the park" and more a question of "will people feel like they are able to safely socially distance in the park."
I also think that the addition of the houses does somewhat offset the lack of Festa, capacity wise, and I do think there will be attractions (BfE, Land of Dragons) that may not open even if the entire park does due to not being able to enforce distancing, so there will be some additional challenges there.
Yes but those nights have attendance higher than even 5000. Some of those attractions that you mention like land of the dragons are also not open during those HOS nights.I realize this is true, and certainly 5000 people in the entire park is going to feel much less crowded than an average day at the park. Just got off Finnegan's Flyer after my ride was estopped after someone took their mask off! I really appreciate the commitment to mask wearing even on rides and I got to ride 1 3/4 times for my first ever ride.
Yes they kicked them off and let the rest of us stay on.That’s awesome. Did they make the guest get off?
Well I didn’t mean tear it down....I mean have the Scotland station and France station and then they move you through Germany like they have for CT. They need family attractions and a way to avoid that hill for older people in masks. They way the skyride system is designed they can't get rid of the Germany stop. The vehicle has to go the entire route.
