Well, it took some looking, but I seem to have found a video of the Clown Band reunion! It looks like it was filmed by a potato left over from the Spring Bloom Festival, but alas, here it is. Until the original Clown Band comes in, it's the same show as the one I recorded, posted above. They seem to have improved even since then.

As far as I know, the set performances in the showtimes pamphlet all take place under the Eiffel Tower, where the band stays to perform the full twenty minute show. Don't quote me on that, since the band does roam freely a lot, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I do know that the plaza around the Eiffel Tower and the Grande Bandstand is a good place to look for them. ;)

They must be everywhere then, because I see them constantly in Planet Snoopy.

Just ask a supervisor. I asked one lady, and she went completely out of her way making calls and asking around to find where the band would perform. I was blown away. Hopefully someone will do the same for you. ;)

Hey, I just noticed something in the video that Joe posted... In addition to the great percussionist in purple being a former cast member of "Mix It Up", am I wrong or is the Clown Band's bass drummer also a former chef from "Mix It Up" as well?



If it is, then that's three great former BGW musicians in the same KD band!

Apologies if I'm wrong or if I've broken some site rule by pointing this out. I'm new here.

That is correct, the bass player was also the green Mix It Up chef. That means currently there are four former BGW performers now at KD. That's a lot!

Thanks Joe! I thought it was him but I wasn't totally sure. It's nice to see some of these performers again that I remember from the other place.

I think the new Clown Band is terrific.

I saw the new Clown Band on Aug 3rd, and I really loved it, they're funny, entertaining and adds the classic "Kings Dominion charm". Hope they stick around longer.

So I saw the Clown Band on Sunday in Safari Village. They were wonderful musicians and it was a very fun performance. I really hope they stick around for a while. However, I did notice that their costumes were beyond faded, and probably needed to be replaced a while ago.

I think the old clowns were supposed to be that, today's band is supposed to be more hipster clowns.

Just saying, today has got to be some record for the number of KD posts. Wow, glad the site really has accumulated a huge fan base.

Anyway, I didn't notice the clown outfits looking terribly faded a few weeks ago. One would hope they're not fading already.

The Purple costumes looked like Apollo's Chariot's track and the red ones looked like Anaconda's track in 2013. It was pretty bad. But the performance was good, which is all that matters.

^ I'd suspect that there would be some fading, since the clowns spent all summer marching around and performing in the heat, which means a lot of sweating, which means a lot of costume laundering, resulting in a lot of fading, especially since the costumes were so brightly colored.

I'd assume that they have a few sets of those costumes at least. I mean, they're on the midway daily and those costumes don't look very high quality. Just sayin'
