Zachary, perhaps you are misunderstanding my posts. I never claimed to argue that removing Ice Palace somehow magically improved the event as a whole. That's simply not the case. If others interpreted my posts as such, I apologize for being unclear, because that was NOT the point I was making.

So to bring this full circle and round off this creative discussion we've been having so that everyone else can continue talking about ice cream...

This is a perfect demonstration of why hallow, abrasive, meaningless posts get the forum absolutely nowhere. The post that triggered all of this...

Good riddance!

... is blatant trolling.

troll

to make a deliberately offensive or provocative online posting with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them

It added absolutely nothing to the discussion and is the exact type of post that the entire community is far better off without. Think what you what and feel free to express your opinions on the forum, but next time, try this format:

In my personal opinion, I'm glad to see Ice Palace removed because...

I wasn't going to respond anymore, but since I continue to be thrown into public criticism, I feel it necessary to respond.

Let me first ask a question. How could you possibly come to the conclusion that I posted with the intent of offending anybody? Other than your own intuition, there is NO reasonable explanation to show how you came to such a drastic (and frankly, insulting) conclusion. If you think I have nothing better to do than sit here and light a fire on a theme park forum for the fun of it, you are mistaken. My post was a genuine expression of my gladness about the removal of Ice Palace, and if you interpreted it differently, unfortunately that is on you.

Additionally, if you are concerned with posts that contribute nothing to the discussion (although I would argue that my post does contribute, as it expresses my feelings towards Ice Palace), why are you not concerned with the countless other posts that add nothing? Making random jokes about plants isn't fitting or beneficial to the discussion, but I don't see those posts called under heat.

Finally, if the format by which I express my opinions is suddenly so important, why is this not listed as a guideline in the forum rules? I just checked, and sure enough, I see no rule or guideline that says I should express my opinion following the formula you provided above.

I am really sorry to the rest of the forum for this. Hopefully this discussion will be hidden so everybody else does not have to drudge through this pointless discussion.

So...back to ice cream.

I am intrigued by the Pecan Pie, as well. Has anyone else noticed how trendy that flavor seems to be this season?

I've probably already eaten at least half of one since Thanksgiving, so....

It's always been one of my favorite holiday time desserts though.

I love sweet potato pie, but pecan pie is awesome too.

As for Cafe Lulu, Thomas and I agree, I think, that it should be a French Bakery, not a...whatever it is now.

Anyone who went to the Big Bad Wolf thread in 2009 and made the post "Good riddance!" would have been (accurately) identified as a troll. If someone has a controversial opinion, they should state it alongside their reasons or, at the very least, with something that adds substantively to the conversation.

Additionally, if you are concerned with posts that contribute nothing to the discussion  (although I would argue that my post does contribute, as it expresses my feelings towards Ice Palace), why are you not concerned with the countless other posts that add nothing? Many of them aren't at all beneficial to the conversation, but none of them have been inciting. Under normal circumstances, talk of weed killer in the Christmas Town thread would be derailed by an admin and the discussion would be redirected back towards its original track.

Finally, if the format by which I express my opinions is suddenly so important, why is this not listed as a guideline in the forum rules? I just checked, and sure enough, I see no rule or guideline that says I should express my opinion following the formula you provided above.

I provided an example of how someone should consider posting a controversial opinion if they want to be a good, solid, contributing member to the community. Nothing more. You're not receiving a warning or a reprimand because you've not broken any rules. In my opinion though, what you have done is provided a perfect example of a post that should not exist whether it is within the rules or not. I'm calling your post out not as an admin but as a member of this community who hopes that we can preserve the healthy tone and state of conversation that existed perfectly for months and months just less than a week ago. I'm nipping this in the bud in hopes that it doesn't become the standard.

The setup for the pastries seems really simple at Josephine's right now, I think it could easily be transferred to Cafe Lulu for the main season. If they wanted, they could easily keep the generic snacks, AND have bakery items for sale, but ideally, I would want to eventually see it completely transformed one day.

Cafe Lulu also has lots of room to expand back into the old La Grande Glace... Just saying.

On that note, La Grande Glace is being used to sell reserved seating for Twas that Night. Guess it's better than it sitting vacant? I would have love to have seen it used as a custom hot chocolate shop for Christmas Town like Roman Freeze.

We have a $10 ticket for Christmastown, Twinklw tickwt.Text 3364138164. We can text you the ticket if you can paypal us. BTW, the crowds suck tonight. It's so crowded and hard to do anything. This will be my last Christmastown that has anything to do with a discount night; just a freakn nightmare.

It's baaaadddd. 64 is a parking lot, the men's bathrooms have lines, and there is this:
